So far none. Unless you are counting the minor cosmetic/ updating changes to Nafta.

That is true. Just the fraction in the Republican party is much much larger. What do you think that whole Trump birther nonsense was all about unless it was racism.

So far none? You need to catch up. Then we can discuss.

You have got to be brighter than that. We know that because you can type and read. Are you able to read or see anything that tells you you don't know or understand? Perhaps that's the next hurdle. If you can't do that, you might as well check out, because things will never get better for you.

And buddy- I am a happy camper. I've done well, learned the hard way, paid my dues, never quit- and despite early failure and hard times, I now have everything I want. But I'm old; not much of the future belongs to me now. My concern today with politics is what the value-ignorant left is trying to do to the future of America beyond my life; including the futures of my grandchildren and beyond- as well as those of your grandchildren.

Well glad to see you care about someone other than yourself. Guess you have to be horrified by how the Republican tax cuts and unnecessary wars have ballooned the deficit that your grandchildren will have to repay.

And worse, the liberal media ministry is taking his comments out of context, adding their own spin, and blowing dog whistles to their gullible brood.

There are contrasting ways to look at this. More intelligent sounds good, but intelligence is hardly adequate. I have a 99th percentile IQ, and in early life found average people were far better than I in understanding people and social factors. It was literally more a curse than a blessing- but of course it makes you think you must be right and everyone else is wrong, because you are so smart. It's not knowledge either. You can go to school and memorize all the books, and still be incompetent. My avatar is Charles Kettering, I often repeat one of his quotes- "Knowledge and understanding are not the same thing. You can know a great deal and understand nothing."

It is wisdom, skill, drive, self-discipline and the ability to see beyond the moment that makes the most effective people. The ability to understand and master the use of the foremost tool you will ever have- your own mind. Such people will always be a minority among us, and will always be the object of ridicule from people who use their own level of capacity as the measuring stick. If you agree with them, you are smart. If you don't, you are stupid. That's why progress is do difficult, Too many people who can't see past their own limitations, and hating those that do.

A wise person sees the bigger picture, considers all the factors in his conclusion- but these "intelligent" people do not. They see one thing, decide it's everything and miss the rest of the equation when making their conclusions. Because of that, every problem they "fix" creates new and larger problems they were blissfully ignorant of.
The perception of such people is grossly lacking, including the ability to asses their own mindsets. Every 16 year old kid thinks he knows it all, and his father is a fool. Some never learn otherwise.

I eventually understood that the real answers are quite simple; that most of the confusion in life comes from people throwing trash on the table and insisting it's an important part of the big picture. Humanity will be lucky to survive long enough to learn how to live well, because of all the people who believe they are intelligent and wise enough to tell everyone else what to think- and yet don't have a clue to how blind they really are.

Do a little research on the liberal university professors we have to day, see what they are trying to stuff into our young people's heads. That might help you understand why most college students couldn't pass a typical 8th grade school test given to kids 150 years ago. Why our ratings internationally on skills like reading, math and fundamental skills put us around 25th place in the world. "Intelligence" is everywhere- but wisdom, skill and understanding how life works are falling like a rock. In the end, those are what makes the difference in survival and success. Of all the species of life on earth, we are the only one who fails to know how to live successfully.

I see the problem here.. you see things that just are not there.. I've never "actively bragged about not having an education" . in fact I'm very educated and have university degrees to prove it. (besides all the CE course I must take for my two professional licenses)

    And d
I'm sorry that you seem to be so limited in perception and understanding of these things.
ALL administrations have increased debt and deficit. Under Obama, the national debt went up in an amount equal to all the debt from all the president in history combined.
The pressures that cause this are not presidents wanting to get us deeper in debt- it is voters demanding more service and lower taxes. The only way to do that is to increase debt.
If a political candidate were to get up and tell the people that they would all have to tighten their belts for the next 20 years in order to pay off our debt, his chances of election would vaporize on the spot. People, particularly the less responsible people- want free stuff, and the democratic leadership has been telling them for decades that the rich will pay all the bills. We are only getting what we have demanded.

I'm debt free and cash strong. Great place to be- but 30 years ago, that wasn't true by a long shot. I made a long-term plan to eliminate debt and build wealth, followed it to a tee and it paid off handsomely. I know how to do that, but convincing someone else they can do it too is very difficult. They think there is a short-cut, a get rich quick trick, and all they have to do is find it. Government will always be deeply flawed; most politicians know getting re-elected requires giving people what they want today. WE control who gets in office. That controls the question of government being a responsible or irresponsible fiscal entity. WE will not elect people who will serve the long-term plan over our short-term gratification.

Today is always the tomorrow we failed to plan for yesterday- thus, the resulting crisis only continues and grows. But of course, all the democrats know that "somebody else" will fix it. If we could just find that person.

Strong people make strong alliances- marriages, companies, nations. Dependent people are incapable of doing that. Our fate depends on the percentage of us that are strong enough to cut it without needing "somebody else" to carry our share of the load.

    A "99 percentile IQ"?

Cool Bro'. I feel your pain.

I have the highest IQ ever recorded in Human history and had mastered 27 languages by the time I received my 15th PhD (on the day of my Kindergarten Graduation).

I am so glad to have met a kindred spirit who can sympathize with the agony of having such a high IQ.

    As far as Tillerson?

He (just like Trump) was the most Unprepared IMBECILE ever to hold his particular Federal Office.

That said, he has come to his senses (and his statements on Trump were spot on).:salute:

    Totally.

The Curse of Super Human Intellience.

I have rejected several attempts to be recruited as President-for-Life of Mensa.

But, I have always responded by respectfully declining while explaining my position of "why would I want to be associated with such Low-Information Imbeciles".

The Curse of Super Human Intelligence, indeed.:salute:

Oh, now back to Tyrannosaurus Rex.

I am so glad that he has finally seen the light.:flagus:

Glad you have the opportunity to feel the pain. 99th percentile only requires around 150, and that occurs quite frequently. Of course, your level only occurs once in a millennium.
Coping with common life must be hell.

Actually, Tillerson was an accomplished executive that was highly praised when chosen, but failed to make the transition from his business role to the position as Secretary of State. While the movement that put Trump in office was one seeking business level management and results, the fact is that politics involves dealing with a lot of factors that CEO's normally don't have to deal with. They have to learn to think a bit differently. Trump has some problems here of course, but then Trump was always a wildcat among CEO's, never the typical corporate type. I think he had logically hoped that Tillerson would be able to blend, make the adjustment to political factors to his existing style. This did not prove to be true, and Tillerson resented the fact that it mattered, was unable to shift- and he was ineffective in the job. Pretty good story on the subject here-

    https://www.fastcompany.com/4058017...-should-send-corporate-leaders-soul-searching

As I have pointed out before- The "Imbecile" beat the Clinton machine, the Democratic party with 1/3 the money and 1/3 the staff- and that is a feat unprecedented in history. He also made fools of an army of talking heads, political pundits and people calling themselves news men, and handed them their heads.

Not too shabby for an "Imbecile". If he is that, what does that make the people whose butts he kicked to the curb?
Most people judge others by their own thinking. If you agree with me, you must be smart- if you don't you must be stupid. It's kind of like building a huge border wall around your brain protecting it from things you don't find comfortable to believe, including the consequences of the inability to see beyond the wall..... And not knowing what you don't know, or even that such things exist.

I don't believe any adminstration is "clean". Course obama's uncleanliness had to do with political processes and policy decisions made.

Now, trump has been named as an unindicted co-conspirator not once but twice. Those are felonies. HOw many obama administration members were indicted in his 8 years? ZERO.

How many in Trump's 2 years 6 with more to come.

AS to seeing and hearing evil, it seems trumpettes can only see over the fence. They can't quite focus on the crap going on in their own backyard by their dear leader. Lying Crooked Donnie truly represents American values.

Sure thing. which is why there were so many indictments issued to them. But I get how accusing them of all kinds of dastardly deeds is fundamental to tribal justification and defense of their own.

I'll take actual legal charges as the measure of lawlessness. Bullshit butt hurt partisan accusations aren't relevant metrics in that particular assessment. Not that you'll let that little truth get in the way.
