It's not uncommon on this forum to read posts which overtly, or covertly, wish that the US was all-white. Whether that would be a good thing or not is pointless. I wish I were a millionaire, but I'm not, so I must make the best of what I am. It's worse than pointless, in fact, if you are on the Right. If you want to exercise political power, if you want to have some influence in how the state is governed, you need to have as many people as possible on your side, or at least neutral towards you. Obama was brilliant at this -- witness his choice of an evangelical minister to swear him in at his first inauguration, despite this upsetting gays. This guy is smart. Learn from him. Expressing the wish that a large part of the population were not here, expressing disdain for them, is a perfect way to make them think that power for your side is a bad idea. It's the exact equivalent of Hilary's "deplorables" comment. If you're a conservative and/or a Republican, consider that these sort of sentiments -- hatred or disdain towards minorities as such -- are almost designed to increase support for the Democrats. (This has NOTHING to do with the idea of secure borders and controlled immigration. Don't confuse the two. Confusing acceptance of every American citizen, and opening the borders, is what your enemies want.) And ... more importantly ... such disdain is factually wrong. There are plenty of 'people of color' (I hate that phrase, but let's use it for our own purposes) who are ambitious for their children, and are not content with the standard liberal/Democratic provision for their general welfare. We see this in education especially. So: look at this link, which will show ordinary 'people of color' in Texas who have bought into an idea from the Right side of the spectrum, namely, 'school choice'. These are the sorts of people conservatives ought to be trying to reach. It's not that all or even most of this demographic are going to become conservatives any time soon. But politics in a pluralist society is about assembling a coalition, and the conservative coalition must include racial minorities if it is not to become a permanent minority itself. Politics is also about neutralizing people you cannot win ... you've won a victory every time someone stays home during an election instead of being energized to vote for your opponent because they think you hate them.
