Scotland have to beat Samoa today.
Ten minutes in. The Jocks are looking tight and well drilled I just worry that they lack a player with real talent. They're not going to win this just kicking penalties. Samoa are going to score tries.

Better result for Australia today 45-10 against Uruguay.
Comfortable win for South Africa yesterday with 49-3 against Italy.

First real test for England today but came through 39-10 against a 14 man Argentina. First team to qualify for the knockout rounds and a win against France next Saturday will mean we top the group.

Big game for Samoa against Japan now. A win for them busts the group right open. If Japan win they qualify for the quarters for the first time.

Not a bad performance, but I hope Farrell finds his kicking boots. It's hard to know how we would have gone against 15 Argies though.

Final group match against France is still important. Winner of group C plays runner up of group D. In all likelihood that means win and we play Australia, lose and we play Wales.

Wouldn't worry too much about Farrell, he didn't miss any easy ones.
A full Argentina side would obviously have been tougher but they weren't really looking dangerous and we beat them in all areas of the game. Their forwards were much lauded but England had them under control.

I envy you for being in France for the final group stage match. I hope you go to a bar with the locals to watch it.
I was hoping to get back to my house this month to finish hacking the brambles down but can't really afford it.

Yes, I'd rather it was the crims than the taffs. Neither easy though. I think we can beat France provided everyone is fit. Having said that; we have good strength in depth so not really a worry.

Yeah, bearing in mind that France struggled to beat Argentina (23-21) and their poor showing in the 6 nations it should be a comfortable win.
Whilst revenge on Wales for the last World Cup would be sweet I think Australia are currently weaker. At the end of the day though you have to beat the best to win the cup and I think England can.

So EnglandvFrance and JapanvScotland cancelled! WTF! They could have been great games, a relief from 60 point drubbings. Holding the RWC in Japan in the middle of the typhoon season was not a great idea. Surely there should have been contingency plans to avoid cancellations.

    Hi.
Poor choice. England are going to knock them out in the quarter finals.
My prediction for the semis is Eng v NZ and Wales v South Africa.
Final probably Wales losing to the all blacks.

Yeah both would have been great games.
It won't help England as they now have to go into the knockout rounds without having a good hard match before hand
Scotland should feel really agrieved as they had a good chance of progressing taken away from them

I think the Welsh are stronger than the Springbox.
Not even 100% sure that SA can beat Ireland in the QFs.

Pretty good from England, and even better from NZ. I can't say I fancy playing NZ next weekend....
Now if France turn up and Japan manage to beat the Boks we could have a couple of great semis.

Can't see France beating Wales but Japan might pull off another shock with the home advantage.
I wouldn't want to put money on England against the All Blacks but I wouldn't rule them out either.

    What a match, best yet.
Wales never gave up. Stupid red card for an elbow to the face lost this for France.
20-19 after France led until 5 mins from the end.
France played out of their skins, don't know where that came from. They've been pretty average up till now. Poor second half though, indiscipline from their forwards.
