Rush has his head up his ass.

Talk radio's top dog spent about half of Friday's show on this editorial by Victoria Bissell Brown, which begins thusly:

I yelled at my husband last night. Not pick-up-your-socks yell. Not how-could-you-ignore-that-red-light yell. This was real yelling. This was 30 minutes of from-the-gut yelling. Triggered by a small, thoughtless, dismissive, annoyed, patronizing comment. Really small. A micro-wave that triggered a hurricane. I blew. Hard and fast. And it terrified me. I’m still terrified by what I felt and what I said. I am almost 70 years old. I am a grandmother. Yet in that roiling moment, screaming at my husband as if he represented every clueless male on the planet (and I every angry woman of 2018), I announced that I hate all men and wish all men were dead. If one of my grandchildren yelled something that ridiculous, I’d have to stifle a laugh.​

Having declared the husband innocent of any wrongdoing - and understandably so, given Ms. Brown's patently paradoxical endorsement of her husband's general conduct - Rush proceeded to opine that the anger of such women stems from their congregation with each other, which also intensifies such anger; but while I don't doubt the existence of that phenomenon, it isn't anywhere near the core of this woman's problem, which is staring the reader in the face right here:

My husband of 50 years did not have to stifle a laugh. He took it dead seriously. He did not defend his remark, he did not defend men. He sat, hunched and hurt, and he listened.​

This man is, IMO, a gutless wonder who inspires his wife's contempt by giving her everything she wants and nothing she needs. What does she need? She needs her husband to stand up to her when she's being unreasonable, as in, "I don't care that Tommy says he feels like a girl, you are not buying him a dress."

Discuss.

 

Sure, man up, stand up to them! Abuse is the victim's fault if they don't stand up to it!

No one will take the resulting allegations of domestic/physical/emotional/child abuse she may then put in print seriously without substantial evidence. That's not the American way.

Rush's analysis makes far more sense than yours. Here is an arguably unstable woman admitting to unstable behavior who also happens to have a widely read media platform to express herself.

Simple question, yes or no, would YOU "stand up to her being unreasonable" in contemporary American culture? Hint: this is also an IQ test.

My third wife yelled abuse when I said no.....I am through with trying to live with insufferable people..I live alone in the woods and make bombs...er bongs...

 

But I have known of Rush since 1990 and I personally think he is an insufferable ****** and don't understand how anyone can listen to his harping azz for more than thirty seconds...

 

About the only libertarian or political conservative I find bearable in listening to is Carl Tuckerson.

 

I have not liked anyone on the radio since Paul Harvey...

 

Why is it, I wonder, that conservatives so often bring up IQ, as if theirs was considerably higher than their opponents. However, if conservatives had the IQ's they like to pretend they have, they would know, that the opposite is true.

It is good to see that you aren't blindly supporting racism like you used to. Yet I see that you are jumping onto the conservative bandwagon, in an effort to excuse sexual misconduct by painting women badly.

 

It is no wonder you have had trouble hanging on to wives.

The story makes no sense, but the thread title goes without saying. Rush jammed his head up his own rectum two decades ago. Frankly, the obsolete political thinking of his generation will not be missed in this country.

You should have read "The Duck Book". It was published in the 1970-1980's. This guy unloaded all the dope on any politician that was dirty...Of course, that was also the last time we had our own government pull stings on our own govt. to catch dirty politicians...

Who cares what your opinion is on the matter? Or that of anyone here? We're not in any position to know such particulars about these people. It's natural for people to get emotional from time to time, I suppose with a significant other especially, same as with a parent or sibling. Probably best not to get too worked up in response when someone is unloading like that, as that might well lead to something worse than a bit of yelling, or lead to even worse things being said in the heat of the moment.

Not sure why Rush would bother commenting about this, either. He's not exactly husband of the year, from what I've heard.

Will give you the benefit of the doubt, once, that you may be confusing me with another poster. Do not repeat the above, as it is a falsehood. Calling people "racist" indiscriminately and without any evidence is not OK. In fact, it is just as bad as actual racism.

I read your posts all the time. Well not all of them, as they tend to wander off into crazy land. Most conservatives tend to post little more than one line insults. However there are a few, very few, who seem to put some though into their ideology, as you do.

I have a very good memory. In one thread, when I first started posting on here, you were defending racist policies of Republicans. When I pointed this out, you said that you would report me if I called you a racist. I replied, telling you that if you didn't want to be seen as a racist, that you should not support the party and its policies that are racist.

Here you are again. Perhaps you don't defend sexual misconduct, but you are defending the arguments that defend sexual misconduct.

Say what you want but Rush is a master at what he does. He doesn't follow any trend, doesn't listen to others for advice, and comments on that which interest him. That made him a multi-millionaire. Give the man his dues.

 

Well, it's a good thing for Dumbaugh that there are masses of rubes in this country who, for some reason, care about his opinions.

Not sure what else the fat slob and college dropout could do to support himself.
