The Kurds control a tiny area in extreme Northeast Syria.. I have posted some excellent maps.

Russia is already asking the EU to rebuild Syria. That's what the thread is about.

Trump signs a Lot of memos and Executive orders to spur investment by American companies.

However empty words when no Funding is allotted. Infrastructure when he was first elected and now the internet for rural areas

Tiny area? The Kurds control at least 1/4-1/3 of the country. You call that 'tiny'? I don't.

I suggest you check a map that is updated daily (see below).

I know what the thread is about...and I see nothing wrong with Russia asking for EU help. Demanding or threatening - that I disagree with. But asking? So what?Though I don't think they will get it.

Oh come on now. The Assad regime has been fighting a civil war - that they almost lost - for many years. The country has got to be broke/near broke. And no matter how much money Assad's family has, it won't be remotely enough to put a tiny dent in all the rebuilding Syria needs.
But sure, it would be nice if they put their own money in.

This would not have anything to do with the Saudi Royal Family hating Assad...you being MASSIVELY pro the Saudi Royal Family...would it?
I think the answer - whether you admit it or not - is a HUGE 'YES'.

I am not talking about what Kurds perceive to be greater Kurdistan in a swathe thru Aleppo, I am talking about where they are actually in control.

The SDF controls about 1/4 of ALL of Syria. Here is another map (SDF is in green):

How the heck can you call this 'tiny' is TOTALLY beyond me.

Are you saying that the Kurds (backed by America and France) should not pay to rebuild the areas they control? Surely, you don't expect Assad to pay to rebuild areas of Syria he does not even control? Or Russia, for that matter, who made few airstrikes in this area.

    A) your map has no legend (or a link)...so I cannot tell who is who.

    B) But even with that, it is months and months out of date.

    C) Please go to this link...this is an up-to-date map of Syria.

I can't find the map I want. I don't think the Kurds control all the area on your map in yellow. But, perhaps they are looking at the overlap between Sunnis and Kurds who are Sunni.

I follow the war almost every day. I have already posted two maps for you...they ARE accurate.

No offense, but if you just had followed the news, you would know that the maps are accurate. The Kurdish/SDF control of Syria is HUGE...at least 1/4 of it.
Surely you heard the SDF took Raqqa? Well that is nowhere near the eastern tip or the western side. It is in northern central Syria.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Syrian_Civil_War_detailed_map

Clearly, your mind is closed to information on this that you do not like...so further discussion with you on this is pointless.

I tell you, I don't think I have interacted with someone on a chat forum who seemed so reasonable on almost everything, but so irrational and unreasonable about one other (all things remotely connected to the Saudi Royal Family, in your case).
    Strange.

We are done here, for now.

    Good day.

Might be because the President would tell him to shove it.

Really? Trump rants and rave and tweets about everything every day. Why has he gone silent on Syria?

Well, by the measure, everyone who had a hand (directly or indirectly) in destroying Syria should donate some dough to fix it. Fine with me...so long as everyone pays up...including Israel, Turkey, America, Saudi Arabia (and no Margot2, I am not going to debate this with you...your mind is TOTALLY closed when it comes to the Saudi's)...and many others.

But as I said, the war is far from over...talk of re-building it is premature.

One of the many things that Trump and Putin have in common is this kind of total shamelessness!

When did Trump ask the EU to pay up?

You simply don't know the Saudis or you would laugh at the insta-pundits.

I think the first thing that should happen is that Russia, Iran and perhaps the US as well as the 200 billion dollar Assad family fortune should go to the Europeans to pay back at least part of what it cost them to shelter 6 million Syrian refugees.

ok, then the request for europe to pay is unjustified, then we can use a scale for the reconstruction and dont forget the us got in late, where most of syria was already destroyed.
