Hybrid wars already been challenging NATO, now can very well be turned into something different. But there's one thing certain though; as the inventors of the "Gray Zones", the Gerasimov Doctrine supporters, are real good at fast applying tactics almost anywhere within Russian sphere of influence. This makes NATO and allies even more vulnerable because they did not even adapt the same tactics and now they are changing into something different out of their control. Russia is seemingly ahead in this game but that can change soon with the latest developments. We'll see...

The USA doesn't have a dog in that fight and needs to keep it's nose out of it.

You do not have to think about the Crimea. You need to think about the return of Alaska, California and New York to Russia.

Alaska was bought and paid for fair and square. About 2cents per acre..there is a receipt btw...check it out..how do you suppose it will be returned? Remember this isn't Crimea where 113% voted including dead people and pet hamsters, or are you implying perhaps a few dozen Eskimos on the Aleutians who may observe Orthodox Xmas, which I doubt ..wholeheartedly they would want anything to do with Muscovites like yourself? How do you figure New York state, or even Missouri like your roommate jeannette-ova claims? And what about California? Muscovites may have had some outposts, but for the most part everything is San- this, and San- that, I don't see anything ending in"ov"...just like in Crimea, no? I see it as possession is 9 tenths of the law..oh and getting back to AK, there's the issue of all those missiles and thousands of USAir Force personnel stationed there, what do you suppose should become of them, maybe they vote for reuniting with moskaliland? How would you disarm all the general populace of Alaska...you are aware Alaska is probably one of the heaviest armed states in the union other than Texas and some others? You don't think of that..but then again you don't think!

Let Russia have Crimea and the US take back the Panama Canal which Jimmy Carter gave away in 1977. That's the kind of deal we want to see Trump make.

WRONG , ! The USA does have a dig in that fight because the USA was one of thevsignitaries o an agreement with Ukraine and Russia and GB and France that they would gyarantee Ukraine's sovereignty forcUkraine go give up it' nuclear weapons. Wecall know that Russua's guarantee is worth two micro grams of spit but once upon a time USA was a country of it's word.

How NATO can "adapt the same tactics"? They can't. Because Russia doesn't move its military forces and its sphere of influence towards NATO. Russia doesn't try to penetrate into NATO space, so there is no ground for "hybrid war" of NATO.

You're referring to the Budapest Memorandum of 1994, of course.

And how exactly does "F#%k the EU! Yats is our guy!!" fit in with guaranteeing Ukraine's sovereignty?

I tried to mean "gray zones" by same tactics and they don't really require no penetration into any sphere of influence. NATO does have the appropriate tools to develop responses accordingly but due to that general "conventional" warfare focus, it can't use the tools properly. Hybrid is hybrid because it combines conventional units with irregular units. Georgia and Ukraine are good examples for why Russia is No.1 in the entire world when it comes to hybrid, and gray zones. Yes NATO has some super duper Special Forces like Seals, Maroon Berets, Delta, etc but they are primarily task/assignment oriented forces. Gray zone proxies are larger in size, local, no legal barriers or liabilities and most importantly "cause" oriented, meaning their will of fighting lasts much longer, at least till the political goal set by the state owning them is accomplished.

    No, no, no.
Sorry, but you say Russia is No.1 in the entire world? Why? Is Russia able to arrange a hybrid war - let's say - in Turkey? In Poland? In the USA? In the South Africa? In China? I don't think so. But I think if NATO moved closely to Chinese borders, they would find out what Chinese hybrid war is. Do you see that?

The fools sold themselves to Washington... believe it or not! Now that's stupid. I like the way they believed they were going to become part of the EU and live happily ever after... in Germany no doubt.

Trump is not stupid. He knows that Crimea will always be a part of Russia, so what's his motive? I came across something that might be true. It said that the real reason behind all this anti Russia rhetoric and letting go of Flynn, was because some countries feared that if they gave Intelligence to Washington, it might be passed on to Russia.

Man, you guys are paranoid. NATO has been on your borders since 1952 and you're still hyperventilating over the phantom threat of an invasion that has never materialized.
