This is an important topic and event. It deserves more attention in the media. Russia has a right to expect free and honest elections.
People are confusing 1 .Activities before the voting 2. The process of voting and truthfully reporting the results . You can argue all day about how much outside forces should invest in changing matters . But the world today is a Global Village and America and Russia behave identically . Russia still spends many millions trying to topple Georgia ( more Wannabee Russian spies in Tiblisi than citizens!! ) and its actions in Belarus , Moldova , Ukraine and the Baltic States are unbelievable . It is in the second area that Russia fails . And fails awfully . There are now elections in Africa run better and more honestly than the ones conducted by Moscow .
Dear Trinnity! Russia needs an entirely new political system because criminal gangs of Putin have transformed country to a Mafia-State! Also, what Russia needs: 1. New Party and Election Laws because today's ones absolutely prohibit opposition to run in elections or to register a political party. 2. The political live in Russia must be more strictly controlled by USA and EU because the power of Mafia and KGB is too strong. 3.
