S&P 500 hits all-time high after Trump’s comments on Iran attack spark ‘sigh of relief rally’

Stocks rose on Wednesday after President Donald Trump spoke about an attack by Iran on an Iraqi airbase that houses American troops, which had led to a massive sell-off in overnight trading. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 213 points, or 0.8%. The Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.7% and hit an all-time high. The S&P 500 also climbed 0.7% and hit a record high as well.

Trump said Iran appeared to be “standing down” after that nation attacked the Ain al-Asad airbase overnight. However, he added the U.S. will “immediately impose additional punishing economic sanctions on the Iranian regime.”

Our robust economy continues to break records.

This despite the media claiming WW3 was about to kick off earlier in the week.

I expect this trend to continue-and Kudos to Trump for handling the Iran situation so well.

The saddest thing about this news is that so many lefties will be saddened by this news, because they'd rather see America fail so they can blame Trump.

 

Great news that all trumps bluster and bragging were empty threats as usual. Luckily Iran seemed to know he’s a paper tiger and didn’t overreact.

Now the Mullahs can focus on domestic issues like hanging gay people from cranes, stoning women, and shooting their citizens to maintain control.

"Hey guys, we're gonna launch some missiles at you in about 15 mikes. Don't worry we'll make sure none of them hit. We just have to do something. Thanks for understanding. Love you bro.".
