Looks like corporate America is using this woke-PR campaign to 'accidentally' make Texas Deep Red Again! Maybe other red states should follow Texas and do the same.

while I commend him for the offer

I think it's a bad business decision on his part as this could alienate many of his customers

I would say this regardless of the side he took on this issue

The word of the day is Brain drain! It's when people who have education (like those for tech companies) leave, making it so the population there loses out on an educated workforce. Over time this can decrease the standard of living in an area as it 'robs' states of an educated workforce as they seek to move elsewhere.

Don't call it woke, it's just good business making sure that you can hire local talent vs paying for their training. Much harder to do if they're getting pregnant and spending their money on taking care of their children vs. getting an education that they pay for.

Brain drain isn't what the educated should be worried about. NOT having children should be what the most "educated" should be worried about because they aren't having enough kids to replace themselves. Intellectual Leftists aren't breeding. They're more concerned over their next Iphone color or their special order Starbucks. Its all those DUMMIES that will outbreed you. Scared yet=)

Ah yes, the person who is going to lecture me about demographics is the one who refers to sex as "breeding", as if conservative dummies are animals. Conservative dummies are not animals. And I would appreciate it if you didn't insult conservatives that way. I know lots of smart conservatives who don't have any degrees and they have lovely kids too.

I read this story earlier today. It seems strange to me to pay tens of thousands of dollars to move someone when you could just pay to fly them somewhere else to have an abortion.

Don't say that out loud though. Some people just need to learn from their mistakes.

It is tax deductible and a display of how liberty can be kept alive in a Republican state when Republicans seek to stamp it out.

How so? Why would his customers care where his work force is located?

Disclosure, I have zero idea how this company does business.... if it's a lot of face-to-face, then this could have some impact. Otherwise, I don't see it..

I think this is exactly the sort of corporate pushback I'd like to see to fight the Texiban. This individual action wouldn't cost them too much (handful of employees impacted at best) but if more companies follow suit, that sort of revenue loss will start adding up...

I'd prefer to see an employer offer to sponsor a single early abortion and BEG some citizen to file suit against them.... It's the fastest way this will go away...

Which, under this asinine law, would make the CEO a criminal in Texas.

I hope this gets the flood of democrat voters who fled the hell hole they built in California back out of Texas.

Won't just be the voters fleeing, my friend.... What company in 2021 wants to invest in a state who wants to live in the 1950's?

Would it? I'm still a little fuzzy on this dumb law, but if the abortion is performed outside of the Texiban, you can't be sued under this law (I think)...

I'm still waiting for somebody to be sued... It's been 12 days... where's my one brave (and rich) soul?? Somebody has to take that step for individual freedom....

In the 1950's we didn't have 3D ultra sounds so we were kind of ignorant as to what was going on biologically with abortions. We've progressed since then.

We currently have 3D ultrasounds and the right is still ignorant with what is going on with fetal development.

Y’all have pushed a heartbeat bill that isn’t actually based on a heartbeat and is an emotional arbitrary cutoff line.

Doesn’t the new law make that a crime as well?

If you hand the most modern tools in the world to a 2 year old, you are still only going to end up with a mess on your living room floor...

So you're saying it's the educated people who get abortions?

    A. This is not a criminal law, it's a law that allow lawsuits.... There cannot be criminal penalties if the state is not prosecuting it.
    B. I don't think so, as long as the end abortion isn't physically performed in Texas, which is why everybody is heading out of state...

Why doesn't this guy just pay for his employees to have contraceptive implants?

This could be a cost effective option for those employees who want to move closer to family or better weather.

Doesn’t matter who gets them. It’s about whether or not employees have the right to have them. Family planning is important.
