You're evidently under the impression vulcanism indicates increasing Earth core temperatures, when it actually suggests just the opposite.

if Trump said it, his supporters would believe it, Trump could say he walked on water and some of his supporters would believe it

So what's your solution? Clearasil for those nasty eruptions hiding just under the earth's skin?

Trump could kill a dinosaur on the streets of NYC and no one would care. Fact. :roflol:

The only problem I'm aware of at the moment is your misunderstanding of elementary thermodynamics, and I don't know that I have a solution for that.

Thank you for the links, but I didn't find them very helpful. As far as I can tell, the Smithsonian site will only let you search for volcanic activity by one country at a time, whereas I was more interested in worldwide activity for the past couple years to see if there was an increase or not. I was hoping for a chart or something.

The other link seems like just a thread in a discussion forum, and it was posted in 2015. And it doesn't address the increase in earthquake activity.

Te increase in earthquake activity could be connected to the proliferation of low-cost seismic equipment. Install some near me and you will get periodic activity connected to a nearby quarry blowing stuff up.

Could be, but is it? That doesn't seem like a satisfactory explanation to me.

I guess that would depend on your definition of earthquake. There were a massive number of seismic activity events just around Yellowstone, bu they weren't really earthquakes. I believe this is only the second year the USGS has included human-induced "earthquakes" in their numbers, so what you are looking at may be a different metric than in years past.

Maybe, maybe not. It seems hard to get a definitive answer.

North Pole, Greenland and Antarctica too.
Show me the melting is not geothermal activity!

What could peoplekind have done to ignite these geothermal events?
I refuse to feel so insignificant not to take responsibility for it all!

The Earth goes through periods of increased volcanic activity. The core is cooling.... ssssssssslllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

The current activity certainly could be impacting the Antarctic ice shelf. Those volcanoes, if you look at the map are exactly where they are seeing the most change. But, if you ask Al Gore, Jr., it is just a coincidence and we are all going to die because we drive internal combustion engines around.

The volcanoes are there or they are not, its not speculative at all. The bigger story here is that we are still discovering things like almost 100 volcanoes and some idiots are telling us we 'know' with certainty all we need to know about our climate and planet...
