Should we inject politics into scientific nomenclature? Shouldn't we name things after their characteristics or discoverers? Does this show a bias toward the Left by the scientific community?
Hmmm. Are there Republican champions of science who should have their names immortalized as being so?
The trump rump. The pee tapeworm. And if you have an STD now, it is generically referred to as The Donald.
If there is a bias toward the left by scientists, it's probably for a good reason. . .possibly because the left generally supports science more strongly. Could the fact that those from the "right" tend to see science & religion as competitors, and a large portion of them are fundamentalist Christians who support science neither intellectually or financially, and argue against many of science's core revelations about the nature of reality.
And scientists can name their discovery after anyone or anything they want. If they discover a gene for lying they can name it the trump gene.
republicans generally being science illiterates and deniers why is it surprising that nothing is named after them...to be republican means being anti-science...
