I fear that you've been misled by the intentionally confusing structure of the OP article. It is conflating two entirely separate and different events.

The one in Prague was organised and run by Clintel, which is a climate change denial organisation, and therefore inevitably ended with their predetermined conclusions. They weren't expressing a changed opinion but one the organisers have always held and the basis for their organisation. I doubt it was even really an open conference, just a private event timed to coincide with COP29 and create exactly this kind of conclusion.

I am not wrong. Climate change has been oversold and they should encourage dissenting opinions just like real scientists.
