    This is all very nice.

But its silly and dishonest to suggest that anyone ever intended Jordan to be part of a Jewish homeland.

When Balfour was issued, Palestine had no actual borders or boundaries. There were only historical boundaries, which surely did not include Jordan.

When the Jewish homeland promise was finally codified into the Mandate for Palestine, Jordan wasn't included in this promise.

No, it does not- any more than 88% Catholic makes a Italy a Catholic State. To do so would be detrimental to the remaining 12% - and Catholicism is not inclined towards fascism today.

At the expense of arab-Israelis' culture and traditions- and they form almost a quarter of the population.

Please stop repeating these debunked claims.

If Israel was a ' jewish ' State then Netanyahu wouldn't be quacking for it to become one.

Britain is not an ' Anglican ' State, no.

Not entirely, but the welfare of Palestine is my primary concern.

and yet you have no problem with The Irish Republic, even though many folks who live there aren't ethnically Irish.

It's called the Republic of Ireland. Ireland is a place.

I can't believe how this forum has come to be so dumbed-down.

All relate to places, not the composition of their populations.

    WRONG

they identify their republic by its core ethnicity, not a place.

just like the Russian Federation, which you have no issue with.

Considering the racism being slung about by anti semites it had nowhere else to go.

The funny thing is that Israel also tends to be pretty racist and they never seem to ever catch criticism for being racist, themselves. It's always their opponents who come up with the anti-Semite marker. If you look at Israeli media, movies, and the like, this racism makes itself plain. Perhaps one of the more easier ones you can take a look at is "Big, Bad Wolves, where Arab's are consistently equated with vermin.

Being from the US, it's generally easy to spot the ridiculousness in a society claiming to be something it obviously is not.

Ah, so the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic- which is its name- is ' identified by its core ethnicity '

You won't have any problems with the Jewish and Arab Republic of Israel then, will you.

I think that the continual barrage of anti Semite and Israel threads here make up for any perceived omission in the media.

Antisemitism is not permitted- under rule seven- so there isn't any. In its place are reams of sectarian rabble-rousing- like yours- which can only be considered to be a form of pining for the antisemitism which is not here.

    My, my , here's some more of it;

    DrewBedson;
Report racism and ' antisemitism ' under Rule 7, please, and stop promoting it open threads.

If the Jews are God's Chosen People why did he choose to have 6 million of them murdered in the Holocaust?

Actually it is permitted as the rule only covers slurs and not campaigns such as what many here are in the midst of as they ignore an entire world of racism in Arab and Islamic nations and concentrate on their exclusive anti Semitic criticism of Israel.

You would be misreading the political gameboard if you believe the US government would ever consent to Israels removal. Israel provides a vital check in the region. It is, generally, a military base housing the worlds fifth largest nuclear arsenal and a prominent producer of arms in the world (including drones of military capability) and that castle overseas one of the worlds largest reserves of oil, as well as other products in Afghanistan and the like. This not only allows the access to oil, but the control of it to foreign markets, generally being able to limit, to a degree, the emergent growth or capabilities of other nations. It is also strategic in overlooking African interests until, at some point, the US comes up with a reason to build yet another military base in the region to begin consolidating greater control over African states and the emergent trade-lines between the Middle East and the East. Why else would the US provide noncircumstantial support for Israel?

The US will NEVER allow Israel to be compromised because it is an important presence in the region for their interests. If anything, they used the events of 9/11 to expand this contol to unprecedented levels and continue to promote destabilization in that region. The worst thing about it is that this continues, even though coverage of the area virtually disappears unless they want to point at some bite-sized attack dark people manage to pull off against Israel.

The settlements will continue to expand and they are looking for a reason or a way to legitimize them. They are basially Israel at the moment. The effective area of Israel has grown considerably. In the future, the borders of the Little Land of Peace will grow even further as their considerably martial society grows more and more powerful.

And people think the Game of Thrones is complicated...

It wasn't so that the survivors and Zionists could murder and displace the indigenous people of Palestine- that's for sure.

You'd best read the rule again. Racism and ' antisemitism ' fall foul of Rule 7. That's why there isn't any- but if you see any then report it instead of filling threads with your astute observations. Thank you.

It would probably be more beneficial, not to mention impessive, if claims against Israel could be refuted without having to use the word "anti-Semite". It's a mischaracterization that tries to drag the argument into hatred against Jews instead of critcisms against the Israeli State.

Well said and what a bargain Israel is! 3% of the Israeli GDP with spending conditions that benefit the US as a return in exchange for first class intelligence, state of the art weapons and computer improvements and equipment, battle test weapons systems, an entire front in the ME that doesn't require a complex of set defense agreements with blowback potential or a carrier group to sit outside it's borders threatening it for fear of causing regional strife and providing what Haig said was "Israel is the largest American aircraft carrier in the world that cannot be sunk, does not carry even one American soldier, and is located in a critical region for American national security." and in return, Israel has to allow the US to place a collar on it so it can't do what it wants to do and defend itself properly.

Without the US placing a muzzle on Israel the Palestinians would have been given no other option than to make peace as their capability to make war would be non existent as their supporters would be long dead.

Yes the truth see the sunlight, how terrible. Perhaps you can explain why the omission of all the Arab and Islamic nations that actually have their ethnicity and religion enshrined in their names and nations constitutions are ignored by so many here and only Israel is singled out when they murmur they wish to do this same thing.

    Hmmmmm?

    - - - Updated - - -

The constant barrage of anti Israel threads where you chastise them for wanting to do what a myriad of Islamic, Arab and other nations already do.

Golly moon, if you can't keep up move on please.

Islamic republics have almost 100% muslim populations who want to live in an Islamic republic. Israel has 25% arab population- plus a large number of jews- who decidedly do NOT want to live in a ' jewish ' republic.

    Your question is answered.

Wow, I knew Haaretz was a lefty rag, but that's really over the top. Is it wanton ignorance or self-loathing to say Israel's supporting the Boer government against the Soviet-trained and -backed ANC is "sinful"?

They must have quite a set of morals to say that. You'd have to wonder if their values system came out of Moscow circa 1917. Declarations such as this are no wonder by conservative Jews refer to Haaretz as Bolshevik.
