The actual stated law says that "just one drop" is sufficient to make one completely black. And that comes from the famous New Orleans slave girls in the brothels. They were called "octaroons" because most of them were only 1/8 black, and thus looked like whites. As time went on some owners wanted girls who were even whiter and so there was a famous court case and the "one drop" law became history.

I think there was actually a movie about it . The net shows two, one called The Courage to Love and another made for TV thing The Feast of All Saints, though I don't think either one is the one I'm thinking of as it starred Rita Hayworth, ( or maybe not, going on pure memory here, but I know that the main plot was how this totally white appearing woman was enslaved because of a single grandparent.)

It's too bad that there wasn't a realistic way of hide the race and gender of applicants until after they were hired, though I have a suspicion that women and minorities being fired soon after being hired would sky rocket.

Why does wanting to identify oneself as something other than male or female bother so many people? What does it matter if someone wants to be called a proxvir or maverique? Does it hurt anyone? Is the economy going to crash? Does it make baby Jesus cry?

because they're on the 'we are repressed' bandwagon, when they clearly weren't... they are playing the race card...

When you choose not to be identified as neither a male of female or as white but something else you become one of the PC protected groups that comes with special privileges, special protections, special free stuff and of course affirmative action programs with special protections in the workplace with lower standards when applying for civil service jobs.

merely a state of mind, nothing physical, therefore nothing 'evolved'...

the problem arises from passing legislation that protects and enforces 'states of mind', rather than reality...

Oh, you mean like the ones that stop people from discriminating against someone who doesn't want to be identified as male or female?

like legislating that a company must hire someone with an identity issue, regardless of, whether or not, they are qualified for the position...

    You only want one ???

    Ok.

I being a white male can't join Obama's Moron Officers Corps.

I being a white male still have to be held to the high standards that have been in place for over a hundred years.

This was one of the first but not the last of the Obama's White House using the military for PC social engineering in the name of diversity.

    Note:
Fleming was purged by the Obama White House and is no longer an instructor and the Naval Academy.

You read about all of those navy ships running into other ships at sea ? Guess who was found at fault during the naval boards of inquiry ? Obama's Moron officers.

Oh really. now be honest. Since, childhood, have you had a restless urge to patrol the far corners of the Earth's skies between treetop level and several kilometers altitude? Can you easily carry several tons of the most advanced ordnance along with a fully equipped squad of infantry and not even slow down? Are your state of the art avionics slaved to your pilot's helmet and a 20mm Vulcan 1100S besides? If that's you, you're beautiful and never let the heliphobes rain on your combat airframe pride parade. You go gyro.

there is a reason why it was depicted in similar form to the male gender symbol...

Things that should be removed from applications include name, age, race and gender.

Yes, we should all be given assigned numbers instead as a form of identification but from what I understand all the 1's don't seem to like the 2's and so on.

    That probably won't work either......

Normally it's not only gender that makes an applicant hired most of the time the criteria are knowhow and skills.

Know-how and skills take a back seat ride to government initiated racial or sexual quotas.

There's also a lot of employment nepotism or hiring of best friends and lovers in the United States.

Meritocracy is one of the greatest myths of the United States, I honestly don't know how anybody takes that gibberish seriously in this country.

    It needs to be proven,
