Nice try at deflection but the threads about democrats bashing Trump for attempting to decouple with China. You'd think they would applud this due to chinas human rights policies up to and including slavery but they are more concerned wuth opposing anything and everything Trump does.

I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of democrats bashing America for being a slave owning country many generations ago while simultaneously bashing Trump for his attempts to decouple from China which is a modern day slave state. Is that really so hard to understand?

In fact, the Trump administration has denounced slavery in China and banned goods produced by slave labor.

"The Trump administration is banning imports of clothing, certain cotton products and computer parts from a region of China where more than a million Muslim-minority Uighurs are being held in detention camps because of concerns about forced labor, according to reports."
NEW YORK POST, US bans imports of goods produced using slavery in China, By Mark Moore, September 15, 2020.

Another liberal who can't or won't look within. Why do you support doing business with a slave state? Care to address that?

No. Curtailing trade wouldn't do anything to impact the illegal slavery going on in China, just as it wouldn't in all the other countries where illegal slavery happens (including the US). If you wanted to address slavery, you'd address slavery. The tariffs still have nothing to do with slavery, they're about money, nationalism an political spin.

By pointing out that the DP was the party of slavery he is condemning both slavery and the DP.

The DP should also be condemned as the party of sustained institutional systemic racism in America.
Of course ordinary American Democrats are unaware of the details of their party's history and the persistence of racism within the DP's leadership, as demonstrated by the DNC's selection of the notorious corrupt racist, Joe Biden.

No it wouldn't stop slavery in China but again why do you insist on doing business with a country that still has slavery? Is it because their slaves aren't black?

Why do you insist on doing business with China? Tariffs don't stop trade, they just shift the economics and in this case are just a temporary political game to try to force the Chinese government in to accepting long term trading agreements more favourable to the US.

You're also ignoring the point about the slavery being illegal in China and that modern slavery exists in pretty much every country in various so forms. It wouldn't surprise me if the Chinese government could do more to address the problem (though I also doubt they're alone in that) and more international pressure to do so would be a good thing but you've not suggested that.

I'm for doing as little business with China as possible. Their slavery is one of several reasons.
Question you keep running from is why do you oppose any policies which help us decouple from this slave state? Answer is you hate Trump more than slavery.

My point was to point out the weakness of your in initial logic, but I will answer your question.
The United States needs to condemn and somehow sanction China for its 3.4 million slaves. It needs to do the same for India with 18.4 million, Pacistan with 2.1 million, and Bangladesh with 1.5 million all of whom we do business with.. Why just limit it to China if slavery is the issue?

And my point is democrats that should applaud decoupling with a slave state like China don't because they hate Trump more than slavery. If Trump does it they are against it no matter what it is.

nope, it's about slavery in China.... not democrats... so if you want to bring dems into it, then Trump is fair game too

now rather then divert from the topic, can you tell me what Trump is buying in China with that secrete account?

What policies? The only one you've mentioned is tariffs, which isn't "decoupling" anything. If anything they're being used as a crude negotiation tool to maintain the trading relationship but just shift it more in the US favour (or at least create that perception for American voters).

And you keep calling China a "slave state" when, as I've pointed out, slavery is illegal there and goes on in many other countries in much the same way, including the US. Nothing you'd said here has anything to do with actually addressing slavery. Even if the US entirely stopped trade with China, it would be meaningless unless it was actually stated that it was because of their policies in relation to slavery and included actions that was expected of them.

The question is whether you just want to reduce trade to China or do you actually want to reduce the slavery. Or do you not really care about any of that and were just looking to fling out a cheap shot at "liberals"?

Trump. The family that has done business with China for decades. The family with hidden bank accounts in China. The family that has copyright protections from the Chinese for their clothing line.

Forgive me if I don’t take your sanctimonious bull crap seriously.

Once again you avoid the subject which is why do you democrats demand business as usual with a slave state instead of supporting Trump efforts to decouple from china?

Slavery can also be defined as paying employees insufficient wages to support human life in the geographical area of residence?? Which was and is all too prevalent within Dirty Donalds America even prior to Covid.
