    Sorry, folks... times are tough and all I could afford for #56 was a dive. Rent's cheap, beer's cold... lots of beautiful gals and handsome guys. Well, after a few drinks anyway... and shots are on the house! [​IMG]

    Everybody's welcome in the bar. This is the place to hang out when you get sick of arguing politics. You know, right before your head explodes? There's one rule here... NO POLITICS ALLOWED. That's why we all get along so good. :love:

    62 in Big D this morning. Gotta luv this global warming.

    They always play classical music in the lobby and this morning I swear it was the piece they played in the movie Solyent Green when Edward G Robinson was being put down.

    I fully expect to be made into food today. Hope they don't let me down.

    I think we should have roach art.

    That is, capture roaches, kill them in a cyanide jar, then bronze them or gold them or silver them, and make art of them.

    I've got a cat that thinks it's a moose.

    One day it was running through the house, then it started sliding across the floor I'd just waxed and polished. i was watching the old show Northern Exposure and the cat ran straight into the TV. It was knocked for a loop, then it saw the moose, and from then on it's been thinking it's a moose.

    But the wierd thing....

    It stopped going meow. Now it goes moo. It moos when it wants attention, and I give it the attention it wants.

    Which is how I come up with my original saying: insidious powers of moo control.

    Works for me. In the last dive I frequented, they'd auction off bras. If a guy won the bid for your bra, you had to take it off sitting there at the bar (under your shirt in that way only us girls know how to do) -- throw it to the bartender who tacked above the bar in front of the winner.

    Here's a sample... old dive bar tradition.
