    Definitely a coffee morning today.

    Up at 4:15AM.

30 mins to make breakfast and as @Smartmouthwoman would say -- enough protein to last the lived long day.

30 mins to clean up and get dressed for work.

30 mins to drive to the hospital and start to guard it.

12 hour shift today and tomorrow.

    Hospitals must be guarded because:

1 - they have easy access 24/7/365 for the public
2 - they have cash on hand
    3 - they have drugs
4 - they have vulnerable patients who are at risk to intruders
5 - they have predominately women on the staff who must therefore be guarded
6 - they have some psycho patients who must be restrained.

There is a whole manual on this topic as thick as any phone book. And a test.

    So,

    - youre at OCS
    - you got off the base
    - you got on a computer
    - you got on the internet.

    All inferred of course.

On of the things they really reinforce at OCS is never ass-u-me of course.

They also teach attention to detail.

How is everything going there ?!

    Give or take One decade.
I wonder if humans may want to freeze dry the stuff.
You know like in a Harvest Right unit.Ron Paul says he can
even freeze dry his favorite Ice Cream.
He's from Texas you know.Maybe he got a little carried away.

there is propaganda that says this foreign food 'kimchee' has 'good bacteria' for the tummy, and relieves the many digestive ailments that plague Americans.

they are trying to trick us into giving up our native cultural foods and rich heritage.

If you want some good tummy food, live sauerkraut is pretty good. Chop up some cabbage, sprinkle some salt, mix, put in a clean bucket place plate on cabbage and something heavy like bottled water on top of plate to push kraut down submerged in its own juices. Not enough salt and it will spoil, too much salt makes it too salty but you can rinse a bit of salt off when you eat it. So error on the side of too much salt. Week or two and your done.

They used to have { at Butcher Shops } little cardbox containters
like what Chinese take out looked like with Fresh Pack Sauerkraut.
Man that stuff was good. But it needed to be eaten cold.
Like with a Nice salami & swiss on Rye sandwich. And a good cold Beer.
My Old Mans favorite meal was a Roast Pork with juices
and cooked sauerkraut with caraway seeds.

    Home again.

Made a small bowl of hot seafood vegie soup with wor wontons in it.

Stir fried the frozen spring vegies in hot oil til they were brown, then added the frozen mixed seafood (mariscones). Then added the wor wontons and hot water enough to cover it all plus half a vegie broth cube.

Boiled it then simmered it for about 10 mins. You should always simmer everything for about 10 mins to kill all the bacteria and toxin that may be in it.

    Nice fast lite supper.

Up in the mornin' to the setting moon ... !

The moon was beautiful this morning preceding the twilight sunrise.

Two mugs of coffee/hot-chocolate today. Had a hard time yesterday not dozing off with only one. So today I made and brought two.

Starbucks was still closed at 0515AM when I drove by them. So I make my own.

Home made sausage mcmuffin for breakfast too.

Back in the saddle for another 12 hours shift this lovely Sunday morning -- my Friday.

Powell is beautiful and usually warm enough to swim snorkel and freedive in during late summer. I may head down there too. Rent a powerboat. Drop anchor. And freedive.

I like lake diving because there are no sharks. All you ever need to worry about is a snake or two.

    Why would you dive Powell?

    Because it is there.

Same reason you would climb Everest.

I wouldn’t climb Everest. Powell doesn’t seem like a quality dive destination. Unless you are into spear fishing.

Butts Today is the Eve.Of New years.unless you work as night watchman
during the day to see no other polar bears take advantage of the situation.
Polar bear are kinda sneaky they are.I think they have a sense of *smell
but rely more on their sense of Paw.They gots these big Paws.
The better to snatch away any lunch bucket with one swipe of their
paw and take back behind the woodshed for a good look.
I don't think they would be adverse to any candy bars, either.
    In any lunch pail.
I mean, Brown bears shore nuff ain't.

    * shore nuff do.Up to 2 km is all.

It is generally illegal to spear fish on any lake.

Freediving at a lake is for the sheer thrill and beauty of doing it.

Everest is very tricky.I've seen every Documentary and Movie on
Mt.Everest.It seems that each decade climbers are better informed
and educated in what to look out for.Obvioulsy the window is very
short.Plus there has to be sherpas { guides and also locals who
lug up the camp equipment }.
The biggest problem is not where to approach The Mt. from but
when to go.Storms can develop very quickly.Plus one has to be in top
form even to attempt half of Mt.Everest.Oxygen or the lack thereof in
    uber high altitude is paramount.
Plus stuff like glacial passes that are not sound and could easily
    crumble when travelled upon.

You can spear fish lake Powell although there are some regulations to follow. I would think the water would be too turbid for free diving. Maybe in the fall when run off has slowed to nothing and the minerals have settled.
