Never tried their chocolate, but they have one small section of imported foods. I like their store brand ok, but really appreciate their prices on staples. Flour, sugar, milk, eggs, paper products, dog food, etc... are good quality and much cheaper than name brands. Figured the basket I walked away from was about a hundred bucks. Went down the street to Walmart and spent $134. But they took my card! Lol

Kinda weird, huh? It was acquired from a showing of veterans artwork. Lots of little nuances ;)

The artist should ask the DP to put a copy on display in the Capitol.

Did you know that the best restaurants put the Lobster On Ice
right before tossing into the boiling water.
    The ice puts them under.

Does anyone do crawfish boils? We had our 25th wedding anniversary in spring 2014. I flew in 60# of crawfish from Louisiana along with a pile of andouille. 10 gallons home brewed beers and 5 gallons spiced hard cider on tap. Along with booze that guests bought. We threw open the doors and had a block party, live music and all. It was such a success that he have done it every spring since. Will continue the tradition I'm sure.

The Chinese ice live fish before dropping them in a deep fryer for a a short time. The idea is to serve them while their eyes are spinning. I am sure that means they don't feel a thing. ;-)

I love crayfish. In fact, I like it so much that people I used to work with called me crawdad. I have been wanting to try raising some Australian Redclaw crayfish but they are so expensive and I am not sure about water chemistry and if we get enough warm weather. But crayfish are good eating.

Actually fish tacos are a treat.

    There are 2 kinds --

    - breaded (Cabo style)

    - not breaded (traditional Guadalajara style).

I am guessing you have never been to an authentic Mexican restaurant -- with real Mexicans in charge.

IMG_1974.JPG Alright boys so here it is. Grilled ahi with grilled pineapple salsa. 1" thick ahi steaks that are grilled hot and fast. About 1/8" on each side turns white but the rest is still red and rare. Flavors from one end of the rainbow to the other. A protein rush that will get her riding me like the mechanical bull down at the branding iron.

You don't know what you're missing! I am not a big fan of most fish. I only like the white flaky fish, like flounder, the bottom feeder. I like cod and haddock too. Scallops are good when they're cooked right. Stuffed quahogs are awesome. Have you ever had those? Those are delicious! Clam cakes and chowder also awesome.

We picked up a bushel of crawfish in Carencro, La. for a crawfish boil. The man we bought them from gave us a great tip he said to season the crawfish after you boil them. We had great results doing what he suggested. My family loves crawfish. Matter of fact we are planning a trip to La. soon with the family for Cajun food. Yummy.

    Sounds like a scene from - Southern Comfort - { 1981 }
Wal*Mart sells pretty good Andouille sausage. From Aidells.
    Gluten and Nitrites Free.
About 2 years ago I bought some fresh Andouille from my regular
Grocer.I have to admit it didn't look right.I had bought a few times before.
This one sausage looked discolored and the meat inside looked kinda
dark purple.I got really sick later that night.I only used about half the sausage.
I kept the sausage wrapped in saran wrap.I had severe dirrahea and
gas.I ended up poopin' in me skivves. The smell was the worse smell
from Poop I ever smelt.I kept thinkin' the sausage came from mexico and used
    spoiled meat.

I buy andouille locally and I think it is just as good as any. I haven't tried it from Walmart though. My 2 Walmarts are pretty ghetto.
