Since further details, of my crash, appear to be necessary... After four decades of using toe clips, I joined the clipless revolution. I came upon Gomer, jogging along one edge of the trail and the dog trotting down the other edge. So, I just followed along, at a respectful distance, for a mile or so. When Gomer and the dog pulled off the trail, I saw my chance to go past. As I approached, the dog came running at me. I stopped, while frantically pulling my feet up and back, as I've done for years. That motion doesn't work with clipless pedals. So I, and the bike, slowly teetered over onto our side. Arte Johnson would be proud.
