Here I think Grazon is the culprit. I don't know where it will show up. It could be in the goat feed. It could be in the hay. When it becomes manure it gets concentrated. I buy goat hay every winter.
Don't forget the calcium in the planting holes to deter blossom end rot. There is not much better then a BLT with a fresh T.
Looks like the last bed has been built and filled in the raised bed garden. Going to need just a wee bit of gravel to fill in around the beds. Pictures to follow at some point. My tomatoes germinated quickly, then stalled.... been using kelp and worm castings to hurry them up a little, need them bigger then 3 inches before I put them in the beds.
Do you have decent soil? I'm heavy clay, and it's a beast to try and work, much less grow anything besides crabgrass.
I put truckload after truckload of manure, pine straw, and hay it is pretty rich. I never till anymore and have lots of earthworms now.
Check with your supplier. I believe that hay sometimes is one of those crops they spray off with round up or other chemicals so that it will all be the same moisture level and all be usable when they cut it.
God only knows what kind of stuff they spray on the orange girls around here. Anybody else noticing that various forms of citrus that you buy have very little juice in them anymore? I mean you buy a lime and you cut it and you go to squeeze it on something and hardly anything comes out
Found my hat... stepson borrowed our PU, and yesterday he called, asked if he'd seen my hat, because I was thinking that PU was the only place I had not searched,(all the other vehicles, an office, appt, warehouse (or two) and all the other vehicles; then I remembered he left us his PU, which I had parked in front of the traila, not a usual place we look at everyday.
Got corn coming up, green beans up, 18 tomatoes etc. Got peas in the ground, sugar baby watermelon, crimson sweet watermelon, and cantaloupe. Got Charleston Grey watermelon to plant, cucumber, and squash yet to go. Gonna start covering everything in old hay.
After weeks of waiting, my new cell phones came today. I can finally be rid of my forced interaction with apple products. I really did not like using iphones
had some landscaping done today. Everything that is not grass was weeds or grass, 15 hours ago. You can also see my dying tomatoes.
