Probably she was mistaken as an intruder because all students are gone during the summer break and she was teaching chemistry to high school kids who were attending a summer program on campus. This black student was likely to be the only student left on campus. I had taken summer programs for international students in Cambridge and I know how it's like during a summer vacation.

What about the kids who are taking summer school classes, what about the football kids who are there taking classes and training during the summer. How about the track team, those kids don't usually leave until mid June.

My first thoughts were that the call was made by an employee who is also an agent provocateur -- just trying to gin up some stupid shat.

Because so many black women go to college now that one more is just another fish in a sea full of black women. Very, very commonplace.

because it was during a break and the employee didnt recognize the student so it appeared a stranger was in the students area. The correct thing to do according to the police is to call them and have them check...because of student safety. Do I think the employee should have handled it differently? Yes, but I can see how an employee even asking would have turned into a race issue...just like it always is.
But lets have your answer...if the employee walked over and simply asked if she was student...what typically would have happened based on todays everything including lawns is racist?
