Its quite amusing. What is trump scared about?

Germany is the most powerful nation of Europe and in last 70 years was one of USA most important allies.

Reagan visited muliple times and even got a honor formation of the german army.

Bush was several times on state visit in Germany

Obama also, was each year several times in Germany

Trump only made a short G20 visit to Hamburg and avoids Germany.

This has become so bizarre, that media here wonder whats wrong with him. Some think its fear. Trump is absolutely hated in Germany and chances are high, people will not react in a friendly way. Does he chicken out?

Unless it's important, I don't see any point in visiting Germany, or any other country for that matter. Another reason to visit another country would be to improve possibly strained relations, like with what we're seeing with North Korea. Unlike with the UK, of which the US have good relations with and want good relations with, Germany is irrelevant. Especially with Angela Merkel at the helm who have shown an unwillingness to cooperate with the US. She is basically behaving like a spoiled child because the POTUS don't go around catering to her every whim.

Germany by far is the most important ally USA has. All experts say that when the German - US alliance breaks, its over for USA in world politics. nd the German - american relationship is at breaking point.

The UK is an economic dwarf under German hegemony.

Experts are wrong, and so are polls. Remember back in 2016 when we were told Brexit wouldn't happen and Trump wouldn't become POTUS? Experts are not infallible, which is why I will observe what is going on, comparing it with their claims. So far I am not impressed on this front. At all.

And who were talking about economies? I sure as hell didn't. I literally only said "relations", nothing more. Economies are irrelevant in this context, of which I will ignore from here on out.

Germany have a weak leader, like a lot of other western countries. Weak leaders strain relations with other nations.

If Germany is such a "wonderful" ally, why are you not contributing your fair share in the NATO alliance? Why are you cozying up to Russia to get gas instead of the US or sending troops? Why are you bragging that Germany does not work with the US? Why is there a trade imbalance? Has Merckel invited him to Germany? I doubt whether Trump cares... The UK is leaving the EU and other countries are not so happy in the EU and they blame it on Germany...

We have 2019 qnd Brexit did not happen. Infact the UK has been reduced to a German colony.

We have a weak leader? Hie came that under her rule Germany reached that hegemonic rule we now have? She is so weak, that we reached a status where we simply dictate and others follow. Does not appear weak to me.

She also does not appear weak in her way to simply counter Trump in evry aspect.

    1. Russian gas is 30% cheaper than US fracking gas. You are free to offer your gas at cheaper price. Its called capitalism.

    2. We contribute to NATO what we see as necessary.

    3. Sending troops? Where?

4.why there is a trade imbalance? Because you like our produvts but we dont buy your ****. Its that simple. You wont find a customer in Germany who wants an american car, because you dont offer what people want here.

    5. The UK wont leave the EU

As long as Germany has a commie loving East German as chancellor, leave the Germans alone and allow them to keep getting lazy and fat from eating to much brats and drinking to much beer.

I see the Germans are still using the Kar-98 Mauser rifle.

    Excellent rifle.

Angela Merkel is part of the Pro-EU group. A group that is failing on every level and every way.

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/n...2017-latest-results-live-merkel-bundestag-afd
Strong leaders know how to actually keep their party alive let alone entire country from falling apart from within. So far she's managed to have her party lose nearly 9% of the total vote since last election. That is one hell'uva drop in votes let alone confidence in her party.

Strong leaders take care of their own, first and foremost. Failure to do so will simply make people vote you out of office, which will most likely happen next election. Hell, we even have members of her own party calling for her resignation, of which she seem to have taken notice of.
    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...or-cdu-coalition-replacement-eu-a8606461.html
Come 2021, she won't be Chancellor.

Strong leaders lead by example and know where he/she is heading. Angela Merkel and her government is more keen on dealing with "hate speech" on the internet and arresting people who are critical of immigration than dealing with actual crimes committed.

The UK is leaving, whether people like it or not. It was a democratic vote which was to be upheld by the government. There is only one tiiiiny problem: The government is full of Remainers, despite the people voting for the opposite. Come Autumn, it will be fun to see whether Boris Johnson will do what he's said he will do or not, which is leave the EU, deal or no deal.

If the vote is not upheld there will be more than 17 million angry Leave voters marching the streets. A lot of Remainers will be marching and protesting too, and it could end up rather ugly if the government don't uphold the will of the people.

But we're going completely off-topic here..

We'll see if he even bothers to do a state visit to Germany. Considering Merkel will be Chancellor until 2021 I very much doubt it.

Would Germans not heavily protest any such visit anyway? The Britons did.

Otherwise, I agree. Leaders should - duties permitting - routinely visit allies.

You have to understand the perception of comments like this by ex-Allied nations. We fought two unprecedented wars against Germany in close memory, and you're talking about hegemony over Britain.

I agree that Germany isn't all of the problem with the EU, indeed you guys are massively productive and a huge net contributor to the EU budget.

But you've had the largest role in creating the system which has split fiscal and monetary policy between national and regional governments.

And it looks to countries like the US like these nations are becoming systematically dependent on Germany.

Merkel is the last support Trump actually has in Germany. All others are much more negative towards him, than Merkel, she at least tries to hold formal up.

Merkel arrests nobody who is against immigration. I should know, im police.

Merkel actually speed up deportations, locked migration down by 97%

I think Trump is too afraid to come here.

I personally have a tremendous respect for Germany and the German people (you excluded)… That being said...bwahahaha… All these midget, big-mouthed, impotent and powerless Euro countries actually seriously believe that their "support" is important to the US. Get real, dude.

Trump has not visited Germany because he has no time or interest to visit every irrelevant country on the planet. Sorry but your country is not nearly as important on the world stage as you fancy.

PS Obama visited Europe a lot, they loved him there and they always snubbed him there, every time Obama was asking for something from the EU or its members he was leaving empty-handed.

Says someone from a country with a smaller economy than ours.

Seeing how weak your country has become international and how impotent (Iran drives you like an old horse) it is not a question who you need as allies...but what value you have as allie.

yep, that's why Trump does not visit countries like Germany and Kazakhstan. Let's face it, Trump is the leader of the free world and countries like ours are economic and military midgets totally irrelevant on the world scene. We should go to Washington if we have business with President Trump, we should bring gifts and beg for a few minutes of President Trump's precious time, he has no need to travel to visit lowly Merkel and his excellency Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, he can always summon them at will.

If the AFD were in power I'm sure Trump would visit. Why visit someone who doesn't really want you to visit, it's a two way street

There is no possibility of better relations under the current chancellor, so...why bother?

As to Trump being "afraid" because Germans hate him...well that's true of almost every Western European country. In case you haven't noticed, he charges right ahead especially when people hate him. He loves the conflict, so I'm pretty sure anti Trump protests wouldn't discourage him in the least.
