IMO, teachers who engage in the political indoctrination of children should be fired by elected boards, unless the parents have voted for the political indoctrination.

Of course, the best solution would be to replace the current education system with one directly controlled by parents and guardians.

If you wish to take those things on and wear them be my guest. The word "if" does not mean I think you do one way or the other it is simply an example.

And shortly after Robespierre utter those words the terror began it lasted until Robespierre himself was introduced to the doctor's notorious invention, no politician especially leftist politician should ever be taken at their word because they lust far too much for power. Power does awful things to people and sadly not merely to those that weild it.

You got any idea how many people including guards are murdered in prison every year?

The only politics taught should be a chronologically ordered history of principles so they are put into historical context.
A pity one or two in here didn't benefit from such information.

I know an immigrant family consisting on a single mother with poor english who worked minimum wage jobs and a geeky son who required ESL and was dumped in a public school in NYC. The teachers recognized potential in the son and got him into a better middle school and he ended up at ,Brooklyn Tech, a top high school. He got a scholarhip and loans to go to MIT. He then started a company worth hundreds of millions.

The cream rises to the top unless the left has its way and gets rid of schools like Brooklyn Tech.

That's a tax break, not a subsidy. It applies to the timber industry, too.

I cant follow your telling of Robespierre.
He was a staunch supporter of the revolution, became chief prosecutor and feared à backlash headed by certain députés.
When asked who they were he refused, creating conspiracy theories and hystéria.
It was assumed he was a traitor because he was seen to be protecting them and was executed.
Oddly and ironically for a conspiracy he created.
Which brings me back to the dangers of conspiracy theorists.
He remains à controversial figure since the context was full of plots and counterplots.

This are taxes that the government and the people don't get to enjoy.
They are à gift to the companies, used to invest in their business...à subsidy that happens to come from their own profits...à theft from the people.

You said you are surprised that some on the right refer to you as being on the left, which you claimed you don't consider yourself on the left. Then I asked you what you thought the left was and you appeared to answer with all of the stuff you believe in, basically admitting that you are on the left.

    It is a subsidy.
It is the govt giving back the taxes they should have paid
The government is supporting the industry.
Any tax breaks are theft from the taxpayer who now has to pay more to fill the hole they leave.
    They also corrupt compétition.

It isn't theft from the people because that money belongs to those companies, not the people. You sure you aren't a communist??...lol

    No, this is a subsidy:

    sub·si·dy
    /ˈsəbsədē/
    noun
    1. 1.
a sum of money granted by the government or a public body to assist an industry or business so that the price of a commodity or service may remain low or competitive.
      "a farm subsidy"
Allowing a private company, or an individual to keep their own money isn't a subsidy.

The money belongs to the people as do everyone elses taxes.
Let's becfair...give everyone the same tax relief and maintain the illusion of real compétition.
It goes with the equality of opportunity I mentioned.
