Yes but it is a financial benefit to the company provided by government.

That has nothing to do with this topic, or what benefits republicans wish to grant to the oil companies.
The topic is subsidies, and welfare. The right wants it for corporations, the left wants it bottom up.
The right argues poor people don't create jobs, and that it does more harm than good to individuals. The left argues the money doesn't always trickle down, and you get more bang for your buck giving to those who need it.
Who "needs it" is up for debate, if anyone actually does in the first place.
Both parties are in the wrong if you are against welfare, end of story.

Tell the person that brought it up that it isn't the topic. I was simply correcting a false claim.

The Right doesn't want welfare for corporations. They want to create a friendly environment for corporations to thrive, hence creating jobs and generating tax revenue.

So, you're saying that in order to be "on the left" you have to subscribe to all of the tribal oaths?

It's a deduction of loss. Just like any other company rights off a loss.

but since the right is so anti-regulation, they wont codify in law that companies must create jobs in recognition of "kickback" the companies take the extra cash and buy back their own stock, making the good intention-ed right look stupid

who defines "excessive"? it just seems to me the idea of "job creation" was over pushed when in fact loop holes remained, because actually creating new jobs is not codified into law, its just a propaganda smoke and mirrors suggestion

Companies create jobs. There's no way around that reality. Our economy can't survive if companies can't create jobs and make a profit.

I am saying that to be on the right you have to subscribe to all the oaths, conspiracy theories and grossly generalised labelling of those who believe in fairness and equality as communists with a mission to bring down the Constitution and take over the country.
IOW to confuse vidéo games where characters are two dimensional with reality where real people are multidimentional.
The extrême edges of things fall into black holes
Most of us prefer to assume our own forms, do grateful circuits around central ideas, occasionally throw out à bright spark and attract some adhérents and assume our own identity.
    We are of universal nature.

    I would say good.
But I wouldn't say it is enough

If you lower corporation tax and deregulate employment law you get low paid employees. IOW immigrant and poorly educated people who can't maintain your competitive edge.
    You go out of business.

No, demand creates jobs. Companies organize that demand and profit from it.
The world would get by without a Walmart getting a subside to build and underpay their employees, so they get EBT to spend at Walmart putting local business out of work because they follow the rules.

    Same goes for big oil.

i agree, and i believe industrialized capitalism has done more for humanity than just about anything else, as a liberal i believe a lot of excess fat can be trimmed away and redistributed, as we have become more civilized we have found not everything can be put into a dollars and cents framework...things such as dumping garbage in the river as a cost effective business measure work a few hundred years ago, but not now...there was a time when the EPA was supported by the republican party, what happened?

But how much should it be supported by federal funds which rightfully belongs to the people?
You may say it générales jobs but those mean nothing 2000 miles away in different states.

None. That's why I oppose wind and solar subsidies. Now, those companies get actual subsidies and don't pay any taxes.

Each of us has à maximum potential for learning and creating.
Educating is about maximising that potential.
I will never ad my present self be an accountant. The whole subject bores me to death and militates against what à free créative human being should be.
However I am happy that there are those who find fulfillment in sorting out my financial affairs when I need it. I appreciate their excellence.
Ans there are wonderful practitioners of the arts who provoke and challenge me. I appreciate their excellence.
They have all sought the excellence of their potential.
I don't feel I have done so. I wanted to be a journalist and know I would have been à better journalist than à teacher.
But a teacher dissuaded me. He didn't understand what à teacher should do.
He was also a priest who had certain ideas about what à woman should want to do.
    Nuff said.

You just said we have to move away from fossil fuels. The only way to do that is to regulate those companies out of business.

They are the only way to stop millions of people migrating North, shrinking your markets, killing off your céréal crops and the resulting animal feed, preventing viruses yet unknown and causing flood, fires and famine.
    Your Biblical apocalypse.
