We've got Greta, the Progressives, Democrats, and the lefty media all trying to influence us regarding climate change. So, what are the results of that?

"Americans are less concerned now about how climate change might impact them personally — and about how their personal choices affect the climate — than they were three years ago, a new poll shows, even as a wide majority still believe climate change is happening."

The economic situation is more in-your-face than climate change, so folks are going to be more concerned about the now than they are the future. Unfortunately for the surface of this planet, widespread care about environmental concerns only really happens when times are economically good.

Complaining about Greta doesn't accomplish anything either, yet here we are.

I'm not concerned with the answer to that question.

Lol...don't worry, Mother Nature is the best influencer.
Let's see how long the climate change deniers can tread water, eh?

    Don't you people get it?
She's raising the consciousness of children all over the world and they will support the policies that will finally address climate change, seeing how the adult regressives, the greedy and the ignorant have been unwilling to help.
Neither history or demographics are on the side of climate change deniers.

People are wising up to the money making, wealth redistributing hoax known as global warming. I mean, c'mon man, a city in LA painted their streets white to reduce the ambient air temp in the summer but didn't think about how that would also lower the ambient air temp in the winter. Plus people are seeing the global warming alarmists living in multiple huge mansions, driving in limos, flying on private jets and a lot more.

Why aren't progs pressuring China and India about their carbon footprint instead of sitting back and doing nothing while those countries are building dozens of coal plants?

Some folks might call it child abuse for having her parents flaunt her around as a minor,... I thought progressives weren't into organized religion, and yet, her parents indoctrinated her, to evangelize to the world. The awesome thing about Greta is the uncanny resemblance to the Joan of Arc model. let us hope her parents don't get her burned on a pyre....

Are you kidding me? Kids, at least in this country, are stuck on their cell phones and video games, and what's being jammed into their collective consciousness are pronouns, genders and CRT.

There are no climate change deniers. The trouble is the left thinks they can fight mother nature and win. Now that is some heavy denying.

Because if we can get Americans to live and work in places with no heat and no air conditioning, eliminate all travel that pollutes, and go back to wearing animal skins and eating berries, that will make up the difference of what China, India, and other polluters do.

But the title of the article is AP-NORC poll: Many in US doubt their own impact on climate and The one person they interviewed said "she thinks individuals should do what they’re told will help, but “it doesn’t start with little ol’ me. It has to be larger scale,” she said.

Heck! I see my own impotence to do anything meaningful too. And at the same time, as she said, I also see that what's needed is federal requirements on fossil fuel companies, and fast!

So you confuse zeal for solving problems with religion, ....... as long as the zeal doesn't involve Trump, anyway.

Well, if we continue on today's fossil fuel-consuming trajectory, mother nature may simply force us to do all of those "bad" things you mention, not because we like to, but because we have to, since fossil fuels have become economically too expensive to extract. Look up EROI, if you are interested.

As to Greta, she's accomplished a lot more than other teenagers of her age, for example being on the cover of Time magazine as a spokesperson for a more sustainable lifestyle. In my view, that's a lot more accomplished than the billionaire Trust fund baby, who also was on the cover of Time magazine, but who inherited millions from daddy, claiming he is self-made, and who stands for the wonton consumption lifestyle, no matter what the consequences. Of course, the only response of Trump and his fanclub is to mock her, since their consumerism lifestyle is threatened by her.

Actually no, she hasn't brought anything to my attention. Rather presumptuous of her/you to think that she has.

Nah... I recognize the difference between an actual study of climate and indicators and the religion that is AGW and it's efforts to redistribute the worlds resources to the benefit of it's high priests. Greta is a pretty mouthpiece who doesn't have a slice of the end result, so, like most martyrs, is entirely disposable.

I believe most progressive folks take Matt Taibi at his word. He wrote an absolutely scathing analysis of the AGW folks. It's surprising that his journalistic honesty found so little purchase with the progressives who hope to enrich themselves...

Ummmmmmm, you missed the whole point of the thread. With everything Greta has done, less people care about the environment than before. She's a complete and total failure and so is everyone else on the left.

You forgot to mention that people "in the US" are less concerned about their environmental impact. It is not surprising, the US was always the hardest nut to crack for environmentalists. There are just too many people here who love their truck-driving, gas guzzling life style and would rather die than give it up, no matter what the cost for the environment and future generations. This is not the clientele that Greta has the remotest chance of reaching.

Democrats never assume the restrictions will include impacting themselves... It is kind of funny to watch.
