Just did some reading a few days ago about how much the Soviets helped the Nazis. During the 1939-1942 pact, the Soviets sold the Germans huge amounts of raw materials that were neccessary for them to continue the war effort. Oil, metals, food. Here is the exact amounts: 1,600,000 tons of grains 900,000 tons of oil 200,000 tons of cotton 140,000 tons of manganese 200,000 tons of phosphates 20,000 tons of chrome ore 18,000 tons of rubber 100,000 tons of soybeans 500,000 tons of iron ores 300,000 tons of scrap metal and pig iron 2,000 kilograms of platinum this made it possible for the Nazis to survive the British blockade, and even to invade the USSR. crazy that without Soviet help, Hitler would not have been able to invade them. Stalin also turned over hundreds of German Communists to Hitler, and spread propaganda that the Germans were not at fault, the Brits & French started the fighting, and Germany had a right to reassert itself in the world scene. The USSR was even in talks with the Nazis to join the Axis Powers, and split EuroAsia between them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German–Soviet_Border_and_Commercial_Agreement https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German–Soviet_Axis_talks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German–Soviet_Frontier_Treaty https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany–Soviet_Union_relations,_1918–1941 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molot...–German_relations_during_the_Pact's_operation
LOL by the same view point the US sold the means to the Empire of Japan to attacked us. Footnote the USSR allowed the Germans to play war games and check out their 'illegal' military hardware on their soil.
