But those evangelicals were not prophets or saints, who I was referring to. In any event, those who follow their teachings (the rest of ordinary humanity) do benefit (to some degree) in warding off destruction by excess.

It is no different from Pascal's Wager, and yes, Pascal's Wager is an incredibly impotent argument. There is a reason it is so frequently addressed and (as seen here) rarely defended. It assumed beliefs can be chosen and that God is a psychopath.

This is also meaningless. The forces that constitute the universe are in constant motion, and ergo vibrant at their respective level of frequency.

This is the same for thought.

Irrelevant, as all forms of energy vibrant at their respective frequencies, including thoughts.

You have no idea how happy I am that you taught me how to properly interpret a dictionary!

By definition; energy is "the strength and vitality required for sustained physical or mental activity"

Now I can be as smart as you!

    en·er·gy
    noun: energy
    1. 1.
the strength and vitality required for sustained physical or mental activity.
      • a person's physical and mental powers, typically as applied to a particular task or activity.

      • plural noun: energies
    2. 2.
power derived from the utilization of physical or chemical resources, especially to provide light and heat or to work machines.

Still struggling with definitions, and this time in an extremely misleading fashion.

For one thing, you stopped at definition 2 (not that anyone buys your fantasy that only one dictionary exists). Why did you stop before definition 3 from that exact same source . . . which defines energy as a property of matter rather than as something entirely different form matter?

Not only can you not come to grips with the fact that more than one dictionary exists, but you can't even come to terms with the additional definitions of your own flavor-of-the-week dictionary.

You understand that everyone reading knows you omitted the correct definition right?

    1. energy
      [ˈenərjē]
      vitality · vigor · life · liveliness · animation · vivacity · spirit · spiritedness ·
      fire · passion · ardor · zeal · verve · enthusiasm · zest · vibrancy · spark · sparkle · effervescence · exuberance · buoyancy · perkiness · sprightliness · strength · stamina · forcefulness · power · might · potency · dynamism · drive · push · zip · zing · pep · pizzazz · punch · bounce · fizz · oomph · go · get-up-and-go · vim and vigor · feistiness
      • (energies)
a person's physical and mental powers, typically as applied to a particular task or activity.
"an alternative is to devote your energies to voluntary work"
    2. power derived from the utilization of physical or chemical resources, especially to provide light and heat or to work machines.
      "nuclear energy"
      synonyms:
      power
    3. physics
the property of matter and radiation which is manifest as a capacity to perform work (such as causing motion or the interaction of molecules).
"a collision in which no energy is transferred"

      • a degree or level of energy possessed by something or required by a process.
I don't understand why you continue doing this after getting called on it so often?

    you said energy, not physics

Seriously if it wasnt for you teaching me how to use a dictionary I may have gotten that wrong.

He tried teaching you and you still aren't learning. The 3 definitions are all definitions of energy. The last one is a PHYSICS definition of energy, and the physics of energy was the discussion. You are trying to play make-believe that the third definition was meant to address something else entirely. It wasn't. It was still a definition of energy.

I have to echo rahl here: I don't understand why you continue making this stuff up after getting called out on it so often. You pretend you don't understand that there is more than one dictionary, then you pretend you don't understand that even your own preferred dictionary provides definitions that contradict you, even going so far as to cut out the definition that contradicts you and hoping no one notices. Good thing a couple of us did.

Hell, now you are cutting out 2 definitions instead of just one, pretending that definition 1 is the only definition of energy . . . seriously, no English speaker can be this willingly ignorant of how our language works.

I am, because since thoughts are in vibration, they interact with like-vibrations. Energy attracts like energy. Thus, thoughts can affect reality.

Thoughts do not and can not effect reality. Again, you didn’t contradict anything I said.

    false
you are fully aware that by definition
energy is; "the strength and vitality required for sustained physical or mental activity", just like water is wet

as shown above proof I did learn.

Being agnostic the number is exactly 0.

I dont know if god exists although it would be nice if it did. Yet how am I to know? Especially if outside of this universe? We can only know of things inside and even those are difficult or not known.

I envy those who have certainty that it exists. They have meaning and purpose in life and are happier people .

Yet I cannot have that certainty. For I would have to lie to myself.

I can of course hope there is a good creator . That is revealed at my death. Q

And that is the best I can do . Just hope if god does exist he will take this into consideration , my honesty on this subject .

Yet I live my life as if god does exist. For most of the commandments bring order to life and involve treating others in a positive manner. I sense goodness in those rules and wisdom .

Thoughts can affect the physical organism of an individual thereby affecting or having an effect of the reality experienced by that person

I doubt you have reality figured out as much as you claim. I doubt you or anyone else is that smart and all knowing.

You have little or no humility imo yet the greatest men of science did.

My condolences to you and your wife on the loss of your good friend and companion, Haley. She was truly one of those exceptional beings who share only love with others. Your spiritual bond with her will endure in both of you and the other two dogs because it is love that is immortal and her love for you lives on in the four of you she has left behind.

As a spiritual atheist I have pondered on the concept of spiritual immortality and come to the realization that only the love we share survives us.

    "And in the end
    The love you take
Is equal to the love you make"

Songwriters: John Lennon / Paul McCartney

The love we received as children came from prior generations and the love we give to our own children will be passed on down the generations. And that love is Universal and can be shared with animals too.

My own two rescues came from a poverty stricken neighborhood and they were already 8 months old when we adopted them. They were essentially wild since they were effectively street dogs from birth. Through a great deal of patience, kindness and love they have transformed themselves. They are still not fully socialized but they respond to kindness. Initially they fought for dominance and attention but now they share and are affectionate with each other. They have their ways of showing their affection as I am sure you know and while one was slower than the other to do so they have both reached that point.

My own spouse has cancer and our dogs have helped her to recover from the chemo treatments. They cuddle with her and spend time with her and you can see the concern in their eyes when she is in pain.

Yes, there is a spiritual connection between ourselves and our animals. You were indeed fortunate to have had the opportunity to share your lives with a gentle loving creature such as Haley.

In essence you are fallaciously equating the energy of the universe with your deity.

Follow that to it's logical conclusion and when all the energy in the universe is expended resulting in nothing but inert matter remaining your deity is dead.

    Nope!

Thoughts can ALIGN with reality in what you are describing but there is zero evidence that they can ALTER reality.

When you manage to effect said reality with your "Thought Vibrations" people will pay attention, until then you will be seen as an interesting individual and nothing more.

no. reality is what is. your perception of it does not change it.
reality is simply what exists. Whether you are alive or dead, conscious or not, reality does not change because you can or can not perceive it.
    huh?

Sorry, but thoughts vibrate at a frequency, just has everything else does in the universe. This is a fact that you prefer to ignore.
