There are theaters that have a built in rumble feature in their seats.

Did he say that? Because I rather well remember an article in Psychology Today at the time, where someone crtiqueing the film said the exact same thing

Yes, and I do not believe him. https://www.rollingstone.com/movies/news/george-lucas-and-the-cult-of-darth-vader-20050602 So many things were unplanned. Example: Typically, the lead male gets the lead female. (Hence Herminy and Ron in the Potter movies were such a change of pace). But audiences preferred Han to Luke by a lot. So... they are twins now, paving the way for the secondary male, Han, to get the girl. Going into Return of the Jedi, they didn't even know if H. Ford would agree to be in it. He wanted his character killed in Empire. No way did he have this thing all planned out. Hell, Luke was initially going to be a girl. When he became Luke, I think his last name was supposed to be Star Killer.

The whole way that the "backstory" of Star Wars itself has changed is very interesting. At first Lucas wanted it to be no less than nine movies, but then that went to 6 and was about to get scaled back to 3 but now may be up to 6 again, and could go back to 9 if the "non-canonical" Star Wars Stories" keep being successful

I'll never understand why he didn't make another movie shortly after Return of the Jedi. I think the prequels were wrong headed. I heard there was a non canon story much better than Anakins. Imagine if Anakin had been fighting the emperor. In a moment of Force based clairvoyance he saw the only way to beat him was to allow the dark side to take him and join the emperor for now. He could have foreseen himself throwing the guy down that shaft as he did in Return. It would have allowed Anakin to be a better person, with a better reason for turning to the dark side. And I wish Ep. 7 had been in the 80s. I don't buy this stuff about the tech. not being good enough back then. The 3 principals could have been in it, together, but handed the series off to the next generation. It could have been like the Foundation series. Now that the empire is gone, you would have all sorts of inter-galactic fiefdoms and war lords. It would have been a blast. Ah well. I'm going to need a new space opera to latch onto. I have not seen Valerian yet. Hope it is good.
