I don't see the downside of asking King to retire, or just quit. He's clearly a liability and a vocal one for his district. It can't have gone unnoticed that the Republican Gov or Iowa isn't going to flip this district, and will appoint another republican who can continue to serve the district until 2020. King can go figure out what his sins are, and it removes a stupid talking point that consumes the media.
