    We’ve had seditious scumbags try to destroy our democracy before but so far, loyal Americans have rejected calls from demagogues or cult leaders.

    I agree, if Trump and Republicans over turn the election the American people will never truly elect a president again.

    And here's their ultimate goal;

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-conservative-crusade-for-christian-sharia-law

    Just read Leviticus to see what this means. They'll kill people they deem immoral, they'll bring back indentured servitude and more but only for those that aren't rich and powerful. This is evident with the blindness they already have when they look upon Trump himself. And Mike Pence is the biggest hypocrite of them all.

    This post boggles the mind. Obama promised in 2008 to 'take down' the current government, and the Democrats have openly, adamantly and incessantly tried to bring down the government for four years and are still going strong. Yet you accuse Trump of the same thing for filing a few legitimate lawsuits working within the framework of our current governmewnt. Astounding.

    I encourage you to try to substantiate anything you wrote. I don't see any factual realities in your post.

    On the topic of the thread, I have admired Schmidt for some time. He has a way of crystallizing things in a unique way. This being no exception. These people can not be negotiated with. They are outliers to American democracy.

    Steve Schmidt is just another example of the kind of amoral DC political swamp creature that makes ordinary Americans' skin crawl. The still thinking Left has had him pegged for a long time.

    “Few genres are more media marketable than the car crash. It explains, in large part, the left’s ongoing fascination with Palin. In his public agony, Schmidt deftly cut himself into the Palin buffet line. Left-leaning operators from the Hollywood and Washington—New York media fell deeply for him. It was another instance of the media swooning over Republicans with self-flagellating tendencies, especially when they defy conservative orthodoxy and move left. (McCain being the object lesson in this with his maverick campaign of 2000, when he was that “refreshingly candid” McCain, as opposed to when he later moved right in 2008 and became the “bitter” McCain).”
    Mark Leibovich, This Town, Penguin Books, 2013, p. 290.

    How on earth did you miss Obama's 2008 campaign promise. How on earth did you miss the Democrat call for impeachment before Trump was even an impeachable president, or the two-year witch hunt rationalized by known falsehoods and surreptitious illegal support by the Obama administration that finally came up with -- wait for it -- nothing, or the year plus long impeachment process with the contrived genesis of an anonymous partizan whistle blower, or the never ending House inquiries looking for any little tidbit they could find to denigrate Trump and drive him from office? You actually missed all of that??????

    So I googled your statement 'Obama promised in 2008 to 'take down' the current government'.

    Couldn't find it so if you would, please source it. Otherwise maybe you mean this?

    https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Vote2008/obama-promises-dawn-american-leadership/story?id=6182036

    Hm, the GOP has changed quite considerably in the last 12 years. Actually no they haven't they've just shown their true colors.

    House Republicans are already preparing for ‘years’ of investigations of Clinton

    SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — Jason Chaffetz, the Utah congressman wrapping up his first term atop the powerful House Oversight Committee, unendorsed Donald Trump weeks ago. That freed him up to prepare for something else: spending years, come January, probing the record of a President Hillary Clinton.

    “It’s a target-rich environment,” the Republican said in an interview in Salt Lake City’s suburbs. “Even before we get to Day One, we’ve got two years’ worth of material already lined up. She has four years of history at the State Department, and it ain’t good.”

    I didn't expect you to be able to provide one. Until you do your assertion will be regarded as just another one of your fictions.

    Not hard to do.

    Obama is profoundly institutionalist, you are taking crap out of context, to try and equate two that are opposites in several ways.

    I could be mistaken but I believe Antifa wants to take down the government and replace it with nothing.

    To me it is interesting note how some Christians view other religions. They seem to be in lockstep now because the overall goal is a federal government and religious marriage. In other forums however I have seen Christians totally berate Catholics and mormans as cults who will go to he'll.

    I suspect if Christians do succesfully implement their agenda in the future, that mormans and Catholics, and all other religions for that matter, better watch out because once their numbers are not needed...well we can see where that would go.

    Anyone else see examples of Christians attacking other religions in forums or did I just stumble across exceptions?

    Indeed.

    Antifa is short for anti-Fascist. There are a variety of oddballs in it that are anarchists and other sorts of crazy, but if they are pursuing that sort of agenda, they've left Antifa.

    Talking about Antifa as if it was just another top down political organisation is a mistake. What they have is more of a movement than a group with an agenda driven goal. Their goal is negative, they oppose fascists. That's it. Which is great, somebody has to.

    Out of curiosity out of what context to I pull out, for instance, the impeachment?

    Let me quote from your post. "Anarchism calls for the abolition of the state which it holds to be undesirable, unnecessary and harmful." Where is the dictator?

    If they oppose fascists they should stop acting like them. Personally, I haven't seen any fascism in the U.S. They are as close as we have. I agree they are nuts.

    It's not all Christians it's the Evangelicals;

    https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/jesus/evangelicals/evmain.html

    https://theconversation.com/whats-next-for-american-evangelicals-after-trump-leaves-office-149668

    And Biden is Catholic so they'll feel even more 'threatened', This is why they couldn't give 2 squirts of... well you know... about how Trump calls South American Immigrants, the majority of whom are devout Catholics, murderers and rapists while taking their children away as they look for asylum.
