And BTW, Jesus got his divinity by popular vote, over 300 years later.

 

Does that mean it's also Jefferson's constitution? Or Jefferson's Bill of rights? Currently, the ownership of said book is the US Government. Unless you also agree that the US Government belongs to Thomas, the book is no longer his. And, clearly, he's dead. So he doesn't retain his ownership, does he? Does the ghost of Thomas still cling tightly to that book? I doubt it. Now, he may have rolled in his grave when it was used... but that's a different story.

The fundamental observation is this. Ms Tlaib seems to be a contradiction. Is she a secularist, and if so, why swear on a book at all? If she isn't a secularist, and she's devout, isn't her very presence a besmirchment on the US Congress as it would be her will to destroy it?

We know her mind, and to date, she hasn't been shy about telling us all of the ways that she would otherwise destroy the institution in which she now finds herself...

 

So, Jefferson edited the NT, in order to separate the pearls from the dung. Did he also edit the Koran, and would he have had anything left to print out, if he had done that?
