    The EPA has authorized the release of some 2 million genetically modified mosquitoes in FL and CA in a bid to prevent the further spread of an invasive species that is known to spread diseases such as dengue fever and zika.

    Over the millennia, mosquitoes have killed more humans than any bombs, bullets, or bad bratwurst.
