This I have been working with for a while now, and, have had minor success with. It is common in Africa where there are wars to have bombs going off to voice your sentiment with rebels, and, with the west having such a lot of 'rebels' that are upset in their ranks, I cannot see it taking long before the toxic influence of I.S.I.S. on them becoming a reality in the rest of the world too.

What goes through a bombers mind when they decide to bomb an area? Most of the bombings take place because they are paid to do so, there is nothing moral or natural about killing people en mass for our opinion without compensation - the fact you are interested in helping the rebels is not enough to make someone bomb an area. So, there must be money flowing from place to place to have a bombing take place.

If we want to eliminate the bombings, we need to observe that the areas need to be popular, and, that they need to be vulnerable. That is why markets are often targets, of course.

Then, we need to identify the bombers themselves before they get to their destination. This might be possible by using cell phones and 'x rays' - apps that scan for bombs, via mass detection, where the phone's apps will detect concentrations of manure or gunpowder. This would be easiest through heat detection, like with that x ray app, applied differently, of course.

The odds of someone walking around randomly tapping away, or, even having people the masters of their own fate, would surely lead to less bombings.

Bombings nowadays aren't really religious but political masked by religion. The "money" you're talking about is never going to be seen as other countries are probably involved.
