Utter BS. The EPA isn't improving or otherwise acting in a way that would not destroy the environment, and you know it. I bet folks like you still think that Plessy should still be the law, then, correct?

What it really says is that executive fiat must be grounded in legislative acts. Absent this, the overreach, vis a vis Biden in this case, is unconstitutional. Start from the position of fact, and perhaps the rest will come. The idea that Biden can just dictate has been rebuked. Live with it.

So read it in context, because the magnitude of the change in this context is that EPA chose to virtually criminalize an entire industry absent legislative power to do so. If you're mad, go to congress and plead your case.

Isn't the elimination of the filibuster something you rail against or did when it was republican judges being nominated and confirmed? You seem conflicted then. The remaining clock on both houses of congress is running out. If you believe that come Jan 1 that democrats will lose their voice entirely, well, that's a choice you seem to be willing to risk...

Be kind DR, they only know what the DNC tells them to know ;( As far as energy goes most of them know only that it comes in from a wire and turns on with a switch in most cases :)

    I'll second that.

The founders warned of a duopoly — they knew it would bring an end to this country. And it is.

As for the filibuster, it was never intended to do what is being done. Republicans want no progress, only regression which is why they support it up until it allows them to push more regressive policy. The reason it was loosened was because Republicans were refusing to do anything.

They then refused to even allow a presidential nomination to be heard (which some argue is unconstitutional itself) to conspire to place illegitimate justices on the court.

Conservatives have always been against giving the federal government too much power. This is also why they wanted the states to handle the abortion issue instead of the federal government. Not sure why you act so surprised?

I am not a Democrat, I just hate republicans

All they would have to do is eliminate the filibuster, pass the VRA, pass laws to end partisan gerrymandering and implement the Wyoming rule. This would restore power to the people.

In the last 30 years how many Republicans have been initially elected by the will of the people? One

I don’t have an issue with elected representatives doing their job. What is abhorrent is when the minority party stops all nominations so they can stack the courts when they retake power.

It’s disgusting the political football you people play with this nation.

Hmmm, with those four words, you might want to reassess your inner you :) As bad as it gets, I have never felt hate for any political party, because in the end they are all Americans!

Good luck with that inner conflict Bro :)

I think you mean regressives. Conservatives (d) absolutely want the federal government to have all the power. Regressives (r) want the states to have it.

I do not hate anyone. An ugly trait that merely eats at ones self with such spite and vitriol. And I've not been a registered Republican for about 2 decades and the only reason I change affiliation then was in Colorado, at the time, you had to be a party affiliate to vote in a primary. I switched back to independent shortly after that particular election. I've also voted for both Democrats and Republicans as I do not dictate my vote based upon the alpha behind ones name. Policy and results is what is a motivator for me. I'll surely admit I lean conservative, but a social moderate on many items. Heck, I was willing to vote for Polis this coming election until he signed the rediculous abortion law into the Colorado constitution. Again, pro-choice, however no exception late term abortions are a no go for this guy!

And regarding your last statement... I'd surely be curious to how you have come to that weird and inaccurate conclusion?

Because the scope wasn't covered under the EPA. And since it wasn't, Congress like in that other issue can write a legislative process to make it so(which as @Pieces of Malarkey pointed out would be absolutely laughable. Good day for the US, bad day for Greenpeace.)

Well technically they just struck down their own SC ruling that Bush had left for Obama to decide whether to implement it or not. Given the obvious chance Obama left it up to the opinion makers in California (CARB) and ultimately jumped on it like a dog in heat within the first couple months of his term. But Obama's EPA couldn't quite get it done permanently (there are rules for rulemaking doncha know) so Trump struck down the rules when he came into office and substituted his own to try to get some actually achievable compromise. Then Biden's EPA upped the ante even further (something like 49 mpg by 2026 if I recall) and now the whole stupid idea has been completely blown out of the water by the SC.

    No EOs involved. Ever.
