How about eliminating the senate? Are they all going to wish to do that as well?

How many times have you seen hackers infiltrate Amazon? There are few things less sophisticated than hacking. Hackers rely on carelessness. And besides, going back to the above example, Amazon is a system that is always up. Voting will be up for... maybe a few days. Not enough time for hackers to find any holes (assuming the government can't hire competent security analysts)

We could easily have online voting now. Only thing missing is political will. We do have a political party intent on making voting harder for all Americans. And that would be the greatest obstacle. But then again, that's the obstacle for all aspects of election reform.

Your state could start on that tomorrow.

Yes, you misunderstood me for your civics history teacher. I tried to help, but in order to learn, one has to WANT to learn.

    Why would they do that?

I'm too smart to be a basic American civics teacher. Seriously, though, I get you don't know what google is, but there are lots of ways on the internet to research history.

Does Vermont and California each getting two votes sound fair?

I could be wrong here but if the Electors decide to go rogue and pay the $ 1000 fine...their vote is still legal...no?

I'm in no need of your services. So then the constitution says that electors will vote, that means they can make a choice right?

They proxy vote. When I send in BoD votes for stocks I own, someone will vote on my behalf. They are voting, yes, but it is my choice.

Electors do the same. They are voting on behalf of the state.

So they can vote? Make a choice?

I'm not sure that there's any mention of "proxy vote" in the text of the constitution. Can you cite what you're talking about?

    Huh?

Amazon is hacked all the time...
    https://www.pymnts.com/amazon/2017/sellers-lose-thousands-as-amazon-marketplace-is-hit-by-hackers/
    https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money...ers-report-accounts-hacked-unable-refund.html
    https://www.geekwire.com/2019/amazon-capital-one-face-lawsuits-massive-hack-affects-106m-customers/

There are too many links to different Amazon hacks to post on this site without likely crashing the system. What made you think they have never been hacked? Does Amazon being hacked all the time change your mind?

I do not pretend to be a computer expert in any way, but if you honestly think that they can currently make an internet system secure enough to handle voting you are seriously misinformed. There is a reason that no one serious from any side is pushing for internet voting. BECAUSE IT IS NOWHERE CLOSE TO BEING FEASIBLE. You are talking out of your rear end.....again.

When an elector is appointed, their job is to vote, right?

I'm done teaching you history. The answers are there. Learn about state's rights. Learn why states get to decide how they choose their representatives for EC. You won't find it in the constitution, because, wait for it..... it's up to the STATES to decide.

Most important, though .......... LEARN something about a topic before attempting to speak with authority on the topic. You are way out of your depth, here. You are asking questions an eighth grader would ask an intro to civics teacher.

Oh - maybe you are in the 7th grade, in which case, wait a year and you'll get the education you seek.

And when they appoint their electors, those electors got to vote, right?

    Better than Hillary, Yes.
    Better than Biden, Yes.
Put someone better up against him and you'll have my support.

    Trump is better...than virtually nothing

I'd support the sycophant Pence over Trump
