    The reason the opposition keeps losing is because they represent the oligarchy and the US. They wont have a chance unless they run a populist candidate but they wont because they are fascist, the opposite of populism.

    Good for him. The Venezuelans have voted.
    Like it or not - there are people who prefer a different system than the ultra-capitalist one.

    Chavez's crime in the eyes of US imperialist apologists, is that the people who voted for him voted against US hegemony. Bravo to Chavez and the Venezualan people.

    Assuming, of course, the election was fair and the votes were really counted.....not that despot rulers have ever rigged an election....

    The reason they 'lost', if they did, was that they did not have tanks on the streets, could not send the public sector a 30% bonus in September, and could not simply give folk pensions as Chavez did in the lead-up to the vote.

    Have you any idea how water tight the election process is in Venezuela?

    @TMR.

    I bet Chavez is a better leader than anyone that we have had. Ever. Remember that tick list, from the other day. He would tick far more of the positive boxes.

    In broad terms, if Ziomedia hates a leader, it is probably because he is a good leader, for the bulk of his own people, and who won't bow to Zionists.

    If they call someone a 'dictator', it is often a projection of themselves, and what they really are.

    If they call someone 'evil', again, a projection of what they are, in most cases.

    One only read about the real Gadaffi, to understand this.

    The inspectors found no fraud.
    Can we say the same about Florida 2000?

    You misuse the term...I noted you cited Carter, which you did and clearly noted my opinion as to Carter's credibility. That is not a strawman argument.

    The reactionary jingoists have always been on the side of the empire and over 8 million people in the world have been killed largely because of their support for post second World War US foreign policy. They point the finger at Chavez's Venezuela and ignore death squads Honduras and Colombia just as they pointed their fingers at Ortega's Nicaragua and turned a blind eye to Contra, Salvadoran, and Guatemalan terror, crimes against humanity and genocide. They simply dont like Chavez because he's a leftist. That's it. Period.

    I didn't cite Carter. You are confusing me with somebody else. Your medication is running low.
