    The Texan-Republican power grid failure has been such a disaster that Texas has gone liberal. AOC is being installed as Governor and they wish to be called Eastern California from now on.

    My 85-year-old grandfather was rushed to the hospital with a possible concussion. The doctor asked him a series of questions: “Do you know where you are?” “I’m at Rex Hospital.” “What city are you in?” “Raleigh.” “Do you know who I am?” “Dr. Hamilton.” My grandfather then turned to the nurse and said, “I hope he doesn’t ask me any more questions.” “Why?” she asked. “Because all of those answers were on his badge.”

    I tried having my mother’s phone disconnected, but the customer-service rep told me that since the account was in my dad’s name, he’d have to be the one to put in the request. The fact that he’d been dead for 40 years didn’t sway her. Then a solution hit me: “If I stop paying the bill, you can turn off the service, right?” “Well, yes,” she said reluctantly. “But that would ruin his credit.”

    A friend of mine is a tax attorney. He had a client who owed for many years in back taxes, who died. The IRS contacted him seeking payment for his client. He told them his client had died. "For which years?" responded the IRS agent.

    Former Owner Law Practice and HOA Management Company (1977–2015)

    This is not about me but about my sister Tammy. Tammy never watched TV.
    She did not even own one. Tammy was a flight attendant for the now defunct
    USAir.

    Tammy worked first class. She was an amazingly beautiful woman in her
    early thirties. One day she was told that there was a special passenger in
    first classs and she was to make sure he had a good flight. They said the
    passenger was a person named Jay Leno and that meant nothing to her.

    Jay Leno has a sort of a quarter moon shaped face. He is different
    looking. She saw him and thought special meant mentally deficient. She
    talked to him like a baby and even cut up his dinner for him. That night
    he did a monologue on obnoxious airline attendants.

    In fairness I don't like being treated as an invalid because I'm white, I live in Africa, and I've been known to speak up. If I want help I'll ask for it.

    Besides, if she didn't have TV she didn't see it and it was only her "friends" that turned it into an issue for her.
