Tensions linger between Biden and Obama camps throughout 2020 primary campaign

There are still millions of racist white Southern Democrats. Wise choice for Obama to run with Biden. VP Biden appealed to that segment of white voters.

 

He's a horrible campaigner. The first two times he was exposed for lying about his college education and for plagiarizing an entire speech almost word for word. In the plagiarized speech, he even claimed that his daddy was a coal miner. His dad owned a car dealership. Media wasn't partisan back then, and exposed him as a liar.

He was known at Capital Hill with fellow Congressmen as a really nice guy, but dumber than a rock, and he was on the wrong side of history on almost all the legislation he wrote and voted for.

I guess Alzheimer's is same as "improving with age" to today's voters who mostly know nothing about Joe.

 

LOL What white Democrats don't realize is that the majority of African Americans in the U.S. are descendants of slaves, and many of them do care that neither half-black Obama or Kamala "fit" with their own personal and unique lineage. It's not the "blackness" that matters. It the history. Obama and Kamala are elites of recent immigrant heritage, not generational American blacks oppressed by American slavery.

Obama's "blackness" won him points with African American voters for his first term. By his second term, many were disillusioned and disgruntled with Obama.

Kamala's appeal is with elite female professionals of all races, and feminists in general.

 

She's going to have to reconcile her past. She was a hard a$$ prosecutor who threw a bunch of black men in California jails for minor drug offenses and threw parents in jail for their kids not showing up to school. Since winning her Senate seat, her voting record has been as one of the most Progressive Liberals.

She did a 180 degree turn around, which makes her a chameleon politician, one who cannot be trusted not to change her positions and ideology depending on "what's good for Kamala's career". She's a total opportunist.

Her voting record gives her a higher "progressive score" than even Bernie Sanders. She's sandwiched between airhead Hawaiian Mazie Hirono and Pocahontas Elizabeth Warren.

None of this noise matters. Another four years of Trump is an existential threat to the security of the United States. I'd vote for a crack addled chimpanzee if that's who was leading in the polls against Trump.

Nothing involving dredging up Ancient History (involving Biden or Harris) is going to move the needle one bit against the Democratic Ticket.

Biden wasn't book smart or intelligent enough to win, whereas Obama and Clinton were simpatico intelligentsia elites. Once again, it's the "Joe's a good guy and a best friend, but doesn't have the brains," story.

I agreed with you until your last sentence. No one is likely to move voters who have made up their minds. It's Independents in swing states who are flexible, and they have not made up their minds yet.
