His Omnibus Public Lands Management Act designated more than 2 million acres as wilderness, creating thousands of miles of trails and protecting over 1,000 miles of rivers.

He reduced the federal deficit from 9.8 percent of GDP in 2009 to 3.2 percent in 2016.

For all the inadequacies of the Affordable Care Act, we forget that, before the ACA, you could be denied coverage for a pre-existing condition and kids could not stay on their parents’ policies up to age 26.

He approved a $14.5 billion system to rebuild the levees in New Orleans.

All this, even as our own Mitch McConnell famously asserted that his singular mission would be to block anything President Obama tried to do.

While Obama failed in his campaign pledge to close the prison at Guantanamo Bay, that prison’s population decreased from 242 to around 50.

He expanded funding for embryonic stem cell research, supporting groundbreaking advancement in areas like spinal injury treatment and cancer.

Credit card companies can no longer charge hidden fees or raise interest rates without advance notice.

Most years, Obama threw a Fourth of July party for military families. He held babies, played games with children, served barbecue, and led the singing of “Happy Birthday” to his daughter Malia, who was born on July 4.

Obama comforted families and communities following more than a dozen mass shootings. After Sandy Hook, he said, “The majority of those who died today were children, beautiful little kids between the ages of 5 and 10 years old.”

It was nice to have a President that treated the office with the dignity it deserved.

Golly.... I didn't see mention of just a few niggling issues... you know.. like...

1) Allowed the Russians to absorb the Crimea...
2) Allowed the Russians to destabilize the Ukraine
3) Allowed the Russians to strategically reconnect to the middle east in Syria
4) Allowed the Iranians to complete development of nuclear weapons creation capabilities
5) Allowed the Iranians to develop, build, and test mid range and inter continental rockets for delivery of nuclear warheads
6) Allowed the destabilization of N Africa, including the loss of Libya to muslim extremism.
7) Accelerated nuclear weapons development in N Korea
Improved the flow of illegal drugs in the US
9) Accelerated the flow of illegal aliens into the US
10) Allowed the redevelopment of Al Queda, and ISIS
11) Attempted to denude the US of it's sovereignty

And that's just a small list of US foreign policy failures. We haven't even brushed up on the illegal activities of his IRS department, the use of and weaponization of his intelligence services against his political employees. His misuse of executive power that required the SCOTUS to curb.

Yes, and let us all be thankful that the plantation was defeated.

Regarding Gitmo, it was Congress that prevented him from fulfilling the promise to shut it down. And as you note, it was congressional Repubs who sabotaged Obama's efforts to speed the recovery or his already outstanding record on the economy, even under the circumstances of a lengthy global recession while he was in office, would have been even better.
