'He continued: “I think we need to look at that, because I think we need to have churches, schools, businesses start thinking about their policies — because obviously we can’t have first responders at every location — and so they need to think about whether they want private security or whether they want to make sure that some of their own people are armed to prevent this from happening again.”

Here's the bottom line boys and girls:
“As far as what we can do in the future, I mean, the only thing I know, because you can’t necessarily keep guns out of the hands of people who are going to violate the law.

“If somebody’s willing to kill someone, they’re also going to be willing to violate a gun law,”

This is something many of us have said for years...but we can't seem to get the gun control crowd to face reality...they cling to their dogma and faith , smug and superior in their naivete .

A basic truth the anti-gun left either refuses to comprehend, or simply ignores.

Why arm Churches? That just puts more guns into the hands of more people. This cannot be a solution. The National Crime Victimization Survey resulted in the statistic of 467,321 persons being victims of a crime committed with a firearm in 2011 (https://www.nij.gov/topics/crime/gun-violence/pages/welcome.aspx). This is a ludicrous amount of crimes—let alone the fact that they were all committed with a gun. Ladies and Gentlemen of America, we need to put an end to this ridiculous amount of firearm related crime. The more we allow the public access to weapons of this degree, the more we will see violent crimes continue to become more evident as seen in the Las Vegas massacre last month. Now we all hear, “guns don’t kill people. People kill people (http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/4-pro-gun-arguments-were-sick-of-hearing-20151001).” While this statement could not get any closer to the truth, it still remains an obvious factor that if an individual did not have a handgun, or especially a high powered rifle, then they would not as easily be able to unleash the amount of destructive terror as let’s say, a knife. And don’t say, “they could make a bomb!” because how many of you know how to make an effective explosive and are able to detonate without destroying yourself in the process? Okay then. So I will end my point with a proposal. That the guns which are already in circulation be allowed to stay. No one is running door to door trying to steal citizens’ firearms for the sake of a law. Yet, we can be honest and responsible in how we treat the sale of guns from here on out. The sale of guns should be limited to any county, city, state, or national law enforcement agency and may only be used as government property and not as a personal defense device. To help rid of the firearm circulation, high compensation will be awarded to those who turn in their arsenal to a government facility. This way we can slow down the rate of gun crimes, and especially mass shootings, in the United States during the many years to come.

Does the left ignore it, or are they looking for a different option than to put more guns into the hands of more Americans. We have such high crime rates involving a firearm and so obviously more firearms is not adding to the solution.

The "options" they propose only serve to limit the rights of the law abiding and does nothing to address the use of firearms in crimes - the shooting in TX is a prime example of this, where a "gun free zone" was shot up by someone with a gun.

Why do you believe someone willing to commit murder will worry about gun control laws?

Pray tell exactly what is being proposed to make the above suggestion a possibility?

Then change the Constitution. How many people will be killed trying to confiscate millions of guns? It would likely ignite a civil war.

A person doesn’t need a gun to kill people. A truck or a fire will do the same thing. Will you ban those next?

Because unarmed people are helpless victims
Sure it can. Stop the violence: Shoot back
    1993-2016, gun-related violent crime, including gun-related murder, fell 55%
1993-2016, the number of guns in the US increased by ~25%
    How can you be right?
Similarly, if no one can get a car, no one will die in a car accident.
Thank you for so very graciously allowing us to exercise our constitutionally guaranteed rights.
Banning the sale of firearms to the law abiding violates the constitution.
How do you now know this?

Texas Pastor Plans On Carrying In The Pulpit

Chapa, however, has made a decision that if he is responsible for his congregation, then he’ll act responsibly and do what he can to protect them. Frankly, I’d feel a lot better in that church knowing the pastor takes that kind of thing seriously. Especially since most churches seem to be set up where the congregation has no choice but to sit with their back to a point of entry…but the pastor is facing them all.'

Many churches have a guy in a loft in the back of the sanctuary running the sound system. I suspect this will become an armed position. We have ushers manning locked doors after the services start. They are usually in an office just out of site but will answer the door if knocked on. Many of the ushers are armed. Many people are armed and scattered all over the sanctuary. This is done without being made publicly known to most people. We do not allow open carry and do not want guns or security to be a distraction.

Jesus did tell his disciples to arm themselves, even if it was necessary for them to sell their clothing in order to do so.

Perhaps that is why the public thinks ours is a religion of peace, they just don't know any better.

Show me where Baptist missionaries or roving gangs of Southern Baptists are threatening to kill people. We are a peaceful people, no matter how well armed we are.

I've carried a gun for almost 10 years and nobody has ever seen it in public when concealed, including at church. I've hugged hundreds of little old ladies and none of them ever knew.

Abraham took care of business. David took care of business. Nehemiah took care of business. Elijah took care of business. Even Jesus made a whip and drove the crooked money changers out of the temple. Are we supposed to be total pacifists?

The left hates people who can take care of themselves - it creates competition for the power of the state.,
