Thanks to Joe Biden the Taliban Now has Over 200 Military Aircraft — Ranks them as #26 in List of Nations in Combat Aircraft Strength

    https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...nks-26-list-nations-combat-aircraft-strength/

    HYPERLINK above has full story

    snip
the Taliban has 208 military aircraft then according to the NationMaster list the Taliban now ranks #26 of all countries in the number of military aircraft.

    end snip

Wow, more military aircraft than Spain. It's good to see that the USA provided sufficient arms and aircraft so the Taliban can properly defend themselves. I applaud the Democrat voters who elected leaders that did not leave the Taliban unarmed.

The good news is they might be able to sell them to folks who can actually fly and maintain them......

You really think none of them are capable of using that equipment? As In not one single one? If true you think it’s impossible for them to acquire this knowledge?

The Afghan Air Force, after billions of training dollars, and support maintenance contracts from the suppliers couldn't fly or maintain them after Biden pulled our support. Why would we expect that Taliban fighters could do a better job? These will become the mothballs that Taliban folks might be able to sell to others to fund their brutality, but I doubt not much more.

The 911 people learned to fly aircraft so I just don’t see why these folks can’t learn
I’m not disputing your facts, it just seems strange to me that they are not capable of doing this with all of their resources

Learning to fly and maintaining the aircraft the two different crafts. The article does not mention the specific equipment they have, but lots of nations have problems with maintaining military equipment, especially aircraft. Keep in mind that maintaining ground vehicles can be a problem, but sometimes you can improvise, that is not AS easy with aircraft. If some of the equipment is American for instance, they might have problems getting parts for jets and heli's when needed. Fuel can also become a problem for the Tailban, not something that is AS common with ground vehicles.

No worries. If history is a guide, Iranian airforce was US supplied and Iran even with its wealth had a hard time keeping them in the air. There is a hilarious story that the Iranian navy was flying a P3, lost an engine, put it on autopilot, everyone bailed out, and it kept flying until it flew into a mountain deep inside Russia in the Ural mountains. oooops.

the good news here is that in addition to providing aircraft to the Taliban, much cash was also left behind. Hopefully the Taliban will be able to pay some folks to maintain the equipment so it can be used the way the Democrats intended. Our Democrat leaders are wise and thought through all contingencies

They don't need to maintain an aircraft they only use once and they don't even need to learn how to land!

Leave it to gateway pundit to strike fear in the hearts of the fearful..

They have 19 propeller planes (made in Brazil) which could be used for combat if they had pilots, which they don't. They also dont have the means to maintain them, the rest are Cessnas etc, which are basically civilian aircraft. Then they have 95 Soviet era utility helicopters, so yes, if you count the Cessnas and USSR choppers, you might get them to #26, but only if you do NOT count such aircraft in the nations you compare them to.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afghan_Air_Force#Fixed-wing_attack/trainer

And then again, who will they use these propeller planes against?

Not even close. Spain has 140 F18 and Typhoon jets and a host of other aircraft. Spain would destroy Afghan "air force" in a matter of minutes.

You seem to support the idea that the Taliban should be defenseless against ISIS.... something the GOP got on their conscious.

There is no question in my mind that any such equipment falling under Taliban control is unacceptable and must either be recovered or destroyed.

read the chart, more military aircraft than Spain. I did not specify types. In other words, a larger air force and your Democrat vote helped this. Kudos to Democrat voters for arming the Taliban

    nope

it's about the size of the new Taliban air force. You own your Democrat vote and should be proud

Biden is who he's always been, a puppet. You voted for him; which is worse?

Put that way, you are right. Democrat voters were wise to elect Democrat politicians so we, the USA could arm terrorists.

All the 911 pilots needed to learn is aiming airplanes. The killers of 911 did not know about take off nor landing modern jet airliners.
In principle all of we pilots know how to aim one yet would not be good at flying one from A to B cities.

Carry on, - immerse yourself in Gatewaypundit BS and embarrass yourself some more.

Your chart says Spain has 151 aircraft, when they have over 300. They have 151 fighter jets against zero in Afghanistan. Its exactly as I said. They count every Cessna and trainer plane in Afghanistan but wont count them for other countries. You are too easily played.
