Very self reflective statement. More effort is likely necessary to "make up" a point.

Nothing to make up, what Zuckerberg is engaged in has nothing to do with Citizens United. And if you oppose CU then you oppose the 1st Amendment.

It would appear your claims of knowledge do fall short, likely a consistent trend. Citizen's United is everything wrong in politics and Zuck is exploiting it.

Bullshit. Money is a medium of exchange. It is not "speech". You can hear speech. You can't hear money.

Elections should be run as the 2020 election was run. It was the cleanest, most reliable election ever and had great turnout. Florida now says the election there was "the gold standard". Similarly in Wisconsin. They say stop the lies of fraud; it's tearing apart the country.

With Mark Zuckerberg buying up all the polling places so he can staff them with his people? That's how you want it run, billionaires controlling it?

The courts have LONG established that buying billboards and paying to have flyers printed and paying for radio and TV ads and election rally's is FREE SPEECH. That is what CU insures, our FREE SPEECH. You don't even know what the case was about.

How is what Zuckerberg doing related in anyway to CU, did you even bother to read what he did in 2020? And what is specifically wrong with CU in which the ruling said people's free speech could not be halted within a window prior to an election?

How is it NOT? Citizen's United made it possible. Money is not free speech.

Don't ask me to prove a negative, YOU explain how what Zuckerberg did has ANYTHING to do with CU. Do you even know what he was doing?

And are you denying that billboards, flyers, campaign ads on TV and radio and in newspapers and on social media and campaign rallies are free speech? That when I freely assemble with other citizens and we pool our resources both money and time (you know time IS money) to support issues and candidates we are engaging in our free speech?

Is that how the 2020 election went? Did Zuckerberg own most of the polling places then? The only places reporting what you say are all far right wing bullshit propaganda centers and none are non-partisan, neutral, objective reporters. But let's be clear: you and I both seem to oppose ANY wealthy person buying and owning and influencing any polling places of elections operations. So we can agree on that. I don't know why the tone of your post is that I might approve of it.

So, can we agree on this?

Read the OP and the link then when you know about what is being discussed we can continue, I'm not here to do that for you.

Oh, I know what it's about!! And I know you want very very much to believe I'm just ignorant. But that's your bullshit.

I know CU rationalizes corruption. Everyone knows it. And just for your record I approve of free speech but when I say that I'm referring to actual SPEECH. And it needs to be without amplification. No microphone, no electronics, no print. And that is all for the public and organizations of any kind other than the candidate's campaign. You're concerned with law; I'm concerned with solving problems. So my preference would be to have all elections be publicly funded only, and have only the candidates allowed to spend money on their elections. No PACs. No "outside" advocacy. No spending of any money for any candidate by anyone or anything other than the candidate and their campaign.

I know what it's about, but you seem to want to play the self-righteous and superior genius here. The Federalist is a right wing lying rag. I don't accept anything right wing rags say without confirming their story with neutral and objective sources.

So, are you afraid to answer my question? "Can we agree on (the Zuckerberg story)?"

    You asked
Yes that is what happened, now do we want those like Zuckerberg to be able to do it again and if not what laws can be enacted to prevent it. If you want to advocate banning the press and freedom of assembly start a thread on it and I will voice my opposition.

But none of that is what the OP is about it is about someone buying their way into the tabulation process of our ballots now try to focus on that.

Why do you have trouble hearing. Here. Maybe I can help: The Federalist is a right wing lying rag. I don't accept anything right wing rags say without confirming their story with neutral and objective sources. And neither should any thinking person if there's any honesty in them. And I've yet to find any Federalist story line that any reliable news source confirms.

Yours is yet another fabricated story of how the election was "stolen". It's like, if the first story doesn't "take", try another, and another, and another and maybe one will be found that resonates. Sorry but NO SOURCE BUT RIGHT WING LYING SOURCES are saying Zuckerberg determined anything about the election, or that the election was "stolen" or "bought".

But once again, you can't prove it. At least you folx are consistent if that is worth anything.

And by God, Biden sure has united us, hasn't he??

I wish I can someday not take the bait to talk about Trump, instead of the real problems caused by this liberal administration. I'm trying to work on that and remember that starting in about Trump is just a distraction. Dems do it every time they don't have an answer.

No. He hasn't. That will require some major restrictions on social media and RW lies. But Biden HAS at least performed well regarding getting the nation vaccinated even with the RW lies and conspiracy theories out there for gullible people to scream about.

The OP and related link are quite detailed in their proof of what occurred. Refute it.

About as weak a rebuttal as you could post. Refute the facts and evidence as reported. Now do YOU want to have elections where billionaires can purchase polling places and have THEIR operatives man them and operate them and tally the results of our elections? Yes or no?

I answered that, which proves you don't read replies. Probably you're too focused on wanting to fight.
