Just thought this might be a pleasant break in the steady supply of thread post like Trump is fat, Trump has heart disease, Trump is stupid, Trump wants to **** his daughter. Read and enjoy. How's your 401k doing under the dying fat old man that wants to **** his daughter and got elected by Russia?

    • The 30-stock index has surged more than 31 percent since Trump's inauguration.
    • That marks the index's best performance during the first year of a president since Franklin Roosevelt.
    • "You've got lower taxes, less regulation and confidence in the economy is high," said one investor.
    • The S&P 500 has surged 23 percent during Trump's first year in office.
"Donald Trump lifted the Dow Jones industrial average in his first year in office more than any other president since Franklin Roosevelt.

The Dow has surged more than 31 percent since Trump's inauguration on Jan. 20, 2017. That marks the index's best performance during a president's first year since Roosevelt. The Dow skyrocketed 96.5 percent during Roosevelt's first year in office"

This is akin to congratulating the leader of the men's 1600-meter final after the first lap.

Like I've said on here before, Joey, we'll see where the Dow and S&P 500 stand when the peeps throw this fat republican bum out of office in Jan. '21...

Welcome to PF and all the economic denialists who "thank Obama". You will see and appreciate the humor as I do.

They either say thanks Obama or ignore it altogether hoping it sinks off page 1 as soon as possible.

    Thanks Obama!

The idea that the idiotic lardass in the white house had anything to do with this is laughable. Look, I get that trump has been such a dismal failure after his first year that trump sycophants are desperate for any good news. However, any understanding of economics and the short term effects president's have on the stock market precludes celebrating donnie dummy. Just remember when the inevitable correction comes along, it wasn't trumps fault.

    numbers don't lie

    tax reform
    loosen and eliminate over-bearing regulations
    eliminate ACA mandate
    rein in the EPA
    enforce immigration laws

Put Americans first and it's amazing what this nation can accomplish

    No wall.

    No repeal and replace.

    Dreamers still here.

EO on regulations has had no effect.

EPA has not been reined in.

    Dems are holding their own.

No, for steadily improving the economy so much during his term, that it continued throughout 2017!

All non-sense that the market doesn't give two hoots about. The market looks forward to tax policy and other business friendly legislation that promotes investment and growth. Just ask Apple, which acknowledged Trump's part of their huge upcoming investments and job creation.

The effect of Obama on the markets officially ended 11/09/2016. That was the beginning of the Trump Bump which has been rolling on ever since.
