    It is like we are stuck in a ground hog day movie where no matter what we do we have to go back to where we started and do it again. At some point we have to bite the bullet and let the cards fall where they may. The Kurds are the unlucky victims of a President that just does not care about optics. The first one we have had in a hundred years.

    Do I think he operated them personally? No, I do not. He was the Commander in Chief who has the final approval of any/all Missions and Oversight.

    Trump said today that he doesn't know the guys who were arrested leaving the country today.. but the Miami Herald is all over this.

    That statement has nothing to do with what I posted. Unless of course you are justifying all the civilians Obama slaughtered. Which means you supported Bush's efforts. Who expanded the Drone program again? Was it Trump? No, it was Obama.

    That is your claim. I know of no one else making it.

    Might you be confusing it with Trump's enduring commitment to the fiasco in Afghanistan where he endangers 13 to 14 times as many US troops as were committed to supportiong out loyal democratic allies in Syria despite his repeated phony claims of withdrawing them?

    And Field Marshall Bonespur's suddenly cutting and runnings risks the release of thousands of Islamic State prisoners.

    Trump betraying stalwart allies as if they were trophy wives does not engender trust in the US.

    You failed to answer any questions here.

    Do you think the US should deploy the Obama strategy that got us into Syria, which was using his expanded drone program to kill civilians and the occasional enemy?

    Or do you want to send actual US soldiers there to die for a fight that we should have never been in?

    If it's the soldiers you want to die there, I don't ever want to hear you complain about the Iraq war anymore.

    Unfortunately, there are always downsides to our military choices. We spent trillions of dollars and far too many lives fighting other people's wars, without really accomplishing much.
    I don't have an answer, but I tend to think that we would be wise to approach foreign conflict from a containment standpoint rather than fighting their wars for them. We should be a good citizen of the world, but not it's policeman or mercenary army that pays for itself and wins nothing.
