    John Locke commonly known as the father of Liberalism was a major investor in the English slave-trade through the Royal African Company.

    Is the core of Liberalism Racism???

    Not seen any evidence that it is. But I have seen evidence of racism in both the left and the right.

    John Locke's treatise did mention that:
    Slavery is wrong because it takes away from the right to liberty. It's only acceptable in a state of war between a lawful conqueror and a captive.
    And warring tribes in Africa did take prisoners from wars and make them slaves.

    Eastern Europeans were fair game for slaves also.

    This is such a dumb thread start that it does not even deserve to be addressed with anything but a big and fat Hahahahahaha.

    Read Locke. Read up on Liberalism. Learn some hisotry. Read about the abolistion of slavery.

    If the core of Liberalism is not racism how do you explain Feminist Icon and Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger who had in her own words in her book a "Negro Eugenics Program," that was responsible for sterilizing thousands of people most of them African American and poor???

    If you think the modern, American usage of the term "Liberal" is the same as its original, Lockean one, you have poor understanding of political philosophy.

    The Constitution is Lockean. The DNC are far from Lockean.
