Disney, with their radical left politics, is on an extended losing streak. They had best get out of the business of politics or perhaps leave show business and get into promoting the Democrat Party full time. The two are not mixing well.

This is especially true when Disney goes into the business of indoctrinating young children. Many parents can't put up with that crap. Movies are given PG, R and NC-17 ratings for a reason. They are advising parents that some of the content is not appropriate for children who are too young to comprehend the issues covered in the film. Disney needs to heed to lesson. Otherwise, five or six years from now, financial analysts might be talking about "the once great entertainment company that has now lost its way. It has a share price that is a fraction of what it once was."

Walt Disney spent his life building the company once he got his footing. Now a lot of sexual and cultural extremists are tearing it down with their far left agenda.

Frankly, I don't care what color the Little Mermaid is because I probably won't see the film.

One of my favorite Disney productions is "Beauty and the Beast." I enjoyed the cartoon version and the live Broad Way show version, which had additional music and a slightly different take on the Beast which expanded his character.

A few years ago, Disney made a live action movie of "Beauty and the Beast" which stared Emma Watson who played Hermione in the "Harry Potter" movies. It got mixed reviews, but I thought that it was okay. At the end, they stuck a gay scene at the end for no good reason at all. Was that really necessary? I guess so if you really want to educate those who have admired the work for 30 + years who didn't realize that perhaps LeFou and Gaston might have had repressed homosexual tendencies. By the time the gay scene was slipped into the work, Gaston was dead and LeFou was looking for someone else, I suppose.

 

Not confused at all. I know why they are reacting. It’s because they are snowflakes with no life who need to be mad about something. This is just the issue du jour.
There is literally no legitimate reason to be upset about a fictional character being black.

 

Then there was no legitimate reason to change the character from white to black.

See how that works?
