    HYPERLINK has full article

    snip

Regular gas now fetches a seven-year high of $3.32 a gallon nationally, up 5 cents in a week, according to AAA. Gas averaged just $2.17 a gallon a year ago,.......................

$3.30 gas is only amplifying inflationary fears rippling across the United States. Consumer prices surged by 5.4% in September, tied for the fastest 12-month pace since 2008...................

It’s not just gasoline prices creating angst right now.

Natural gas prices have surged to levels unseen since 2008, leading the US Energy Information Administration to warn of sharply higher home heating costs this winter.

    end snip

This article addresses both sides including trying to justify "green new deal" type initiatives despite being a failure waiting to happen.

IMO, the intent of the article wasn't to demonstrate what it ended up demonstrating but, it shows exactly what happens when Democrats are in control.

Democrat politicians have a track record of hurting the common folk and there is no better way to do that than restrict exploration/production of domestic energy.

Sadly, Democrat voters actually voted for that clown show.

Democrat votes have consequences; always bad

So, are you trying to say that if Trump had been re-elected and Republicans had been voted into a majority in Congress that we wouldn't have inflation?

Biden has a knob installed on his desk where controls global energy prices, and he chooses to make it more expensive so that people would hate him more.

US Oil producers are actually happy about higher oil prices because it makes their business profitable again.

Personally gas price is irrelevant to me and millions of other Americans who dont commute anymore.

Look at what happened to oil consumption in US

actually it's helping it, higher energy costs makes alternative energy even more viable

Trump's reducing supply of oil in 2020, may actually help the climate change agenda

Would you like to say a prayer for them?

Whining about democrats isn't going to solve anything, but a prayer might help.

Gas prices rising is a good thing. The sooner we stop being dependent on fossil fuels, the better. Hopefully this leads to less energy use per capita.

Gee, who wooda ever thunk that attacking gas, oil, and coal and promoting expensive green energy would lead to higher prices? I'm telling you, I'm just shocked beyond all belief.

    Yup

but obviously, that is what Democrat voters wanted; soaring prices because high energy prices hurts all

Democrats once again with their trickle down economics. They trickle down the misery but sadly, it's more like a flood

Democrat votes have consequences; always evil

If it were actually viable, There wouldn't be a reason to destroy the oil industry. More of not viable isn't a very good plan.

Yes. And your point is what? We have roads and gas stations could put in charging stations quickly. Not an infrastructure problem. The problem is that electric cars are as scarce as hens teeth so there is little point and less profit to putting in charging stations.

also we still need better battery technology

in time, battery based cars will be the better option, but we have to start somewhere

Electric car technology is not ready yet for prime time. Period. Government needs to stop punishing people for not adopting something that doesn't meet their needs. It is one of the several things that makes me consider federal government to be an enemy rather than a resource.

never said it was, cars were not ready for prime time when they were released either, we need early adapters, horses were needed for a long time after the first cars released

Sure but the government didn't execute horses and destroy carriages like they are tryng to kill the petroleum industry. If electric is the future then it will happen without any government involvement at all. It just won't happen earlier than it should.

nah, just calling out those of you who cast a Democrat vote probably without any forethought, but it was through conditioning by the media. I really do feel for y'all for being so easily swayed
