This is something I've seen mentioned before. Given the evidence previously presented here that no one has actually truly isolated this alleged Cov 2 virus, it lends this theory credence. Constructive feedback welcome.

**The flu in 2020 is almost nonexistent. Globally, influenza activity has been so low that flow charts are barely able to show them. So where did the flu go?

The World Health Organization claims that mask-wearing, physical distancing and good hygiene have helped contain the flu virus (even though it hasn’t done much to contain COVID). But in actuality the real reason flu outbreaks aren’t occurring is because they are COVID.

That’s right. The massive lockdowns, the destruction of businesses, economies and people’s livelihoods have all been due to seasonal influenza, aka COVID-19 — all flying under the media’s radar, ZeroHedge says, primarily because the media “proliferated mass deception” … “to get most people to believe that what’s harmful to health and well-being is beneficial.”**

I guess that's what happens when people wear masks and remain socially distant from others.

The flu is less infectious than Covid

now for Covid to be the flu then every scientist in every pathology laboratory throughout the world would have to be in on the conspiracy

This event was planned, and a large part of the planning included the idea that statistics be manipulated. Doctors were instructed about new ways to fill out death certificates. There were financial incentives to code as many hospital cases as possible to be covid admissions.

With all that effort to manipulate data and records, the emphasis has been on covid, not the flu. I wonder often if they are not really the same thing with the same symptoms.

Maybe the engineering of the virus was to make it resemble the flu?

In every country in the world?
What about the patients in ICU? Covid does not have the same symptoms that the flu has

I'm willing to grant the possibility that it's not the flu, but the evidence that the virus has never been truly isolated makes me wonder what it is.

It has been truly isolated. The Chinese gave the genome to the rest of the world in January in order to start a worldwide vaccine development programme

Show me evidence that this is the case then.

Again, show me evidence that this is true.

Go to export tab and download the excel file, I use "CSV for excel". I then just use the data for "juristdiction for USA" which is at the bottom of the spreadsheet

So then how do you explain the lack of flu epidemic this year?

That might work, if I had excel. I only have Open Office and it seems to mangle the data. Can you take a screenshot of what you see?

There are other formats that can be used which are RDF, RSS, XML and standard CSV. One of those should work. The file pages are too large to screenshot.

Quoting from an article I read on this discussion of whether they have truly isolated the Cov 2 virus:
    **
NOTE: Readers have sent me electron microscope images of what are claimed to be “isolated COVID virus.” An image here, an image there—this is NOT the way science is done, as I will explain fully.

Now I want to reveal the study that should have been done, at the outset, when scientists were first claiming there was a pandemic based on the discovery of “a new virus.”

Here’s what you would do if you were an actual scientist: you would line up a minimum of 500 people who have been diagnosed with the epidemic illness. From each of them, you would extract tissue samples.

Then you would correctly and meticulously put each sample through a procedure that would result in 500 viewable electron microscope photographs—one from each patient. You would lay all these photos side by side.

You would answer three burning questions: do you see, in each and every photo, MANY particles of the same virus? Do you see, in all 500 photos, that same virus? Do you see, in all 500 photos, a virus you’ve never seen before?

If your answer to any of these questions is no, you go back to the drawing board. You haven’t found sufficient evidence of a new virus that is causing widespread illness.

If your answer is yes to every question, other researchers will then line up 500 new volunteers who have been diagnosed with the epidemic illness, and they will perform this same experiment, in order to confirm or deny the findings of the first team of scientists.

If they, too, answer every burning question with a yes, then a third team of researchers performs their own experiment on 500 more volunteers. And if their answer to every question is yes, then you have something. Then you have an indication, according to conventional and traditional methods, that a new disease could be on the rise.

People continue to send me an occasional electron microscope photo from a research study on “the coronavirus.” Of course, as you can see, that is not what I’m talking about at all. A single photo from here, from there—irrelevant.

If you were an honest medical researcher, would you claim the result of giving a new drug to three patients justified the approval of that drug for use on a few hundred million patients? Not a chance. The same basic principle applies here.

The study I just described, with 500 patients each time, done several times with new teams, is what the scientific method demands: large studies; clear results; and then confirmation or rejection of the initial finding, by more scientists employing the same methods and materials.

One critic, after reading my description of the proper way to do a study on the purported “new coronavirus,” said, “This wouldn’t work because it is extremely labor-intensive.” Well, guess what? The result of declaring a pandemic caused by a virus that isn’t there…and the ensuing lockdowns and economic and human destruction stemming from that declaration…is “labor-intensive” to a far greater degree.

Stopping the production engine of the world on the pretext of finding a new virus, when no new virus has been correctly found and isolated, is a crime that supersedes the sweat and effort of doing proper science.

As far as what is actually going on in labs where researchers are fiddling with genetic sequences of this and that and making vast assumptions and proclamations; don’t talk to me about science. Talk to me about liability and prison.

Final notes: At the site, fluoridefreepeel.ca, you will find a number of FOIA requests to public health agencies (see examples here and here). These requests are asking for records showing that SARS-CoV-2 has been isolated. The repetitive and routine reply is: “We have no records at this agency.” Taken together, they paint a picture of egregious fraud.

Mainstream scientists will make two claims: one, we have isolated the virus; and two, it is not necessary to isolate the virus, because we’ve discovered its genetic sequence. Both claims are false.

From reading the arcane language surrounding claims of having sequenced the virus, I see an apparent multi-layered scam composed of leaps of unwarranted assumptions. The researchers say they are using tools that allow them to closely approximate the structure of SARS-CoV-2, even though they don’t have the virus in hand. This is absurd.

It’s like saying: There is a new planet in the solar system. We don’t know where it is or what it looks like. We don’t know what processes are at work on this new planet. But we do know the moon is a very close approximation of the planet. Therefore, we can know everything we need to know about the new planet from our knowledge of the moon.

And a rabbit is spaceship. And there are condos for sale on Jupiter. And new element #267587, which no one has ever seen, is almost an exact copy of Philadelphia Cream Cheese.

    The science is settled.

Flu shots are way up this year and most people are attributing the low number of cases of flu so far (The H1N1 strain is this year's dominant strain) to schools being closed more and being germ Nazi's when they are not. Children are the huge spreader of flu every year.

Talking about influenza and Covid in relation to one another is a political third rail, but here’s some relevant information.

Most evidence points to influenza infections being much less common in individuals with Covid than infection rates of influenza in the general population. The old theory that viruses must “compete for resources” in the body hasn’t been ruled out here. So in other words, being infected with Covid may “protect” you from influenza infection. This would lower the influenza rates overall.

Also, in cases where there is simultaneous influenza and Covid infection (Co-infection), most large scale studies show markedly increased death rates over Covid infection alone, especially in the aged. Since a death from co-infection is going to be counted as a Covid death even if the death wouldn’t have occurred in the absence of influenza, the official influenza numbers will be further skewed. Influenza cases and deaths reported by the CDC are estimates based on hospitalization and death data so this current accounting of co-infection deaths as Covid deaths would skew official data more than if influenza data was actual numbers, not estimates based on extrapolation of smaller data sets to the reported numbers.

Another unique phenomenon in 2020 that may lower influenza estimates was the long period of time last spring when nobody was going to the hospital unless they thought they had Covid. I remember reports of a lot of heart attack deaths at home. Since influenza induces massive amounts of heart attacks and most aren’t diagnosed as being influenza induced in normal times, I’m quite certain less cardiovascular event deaths were correctly attributed to influenza than normal times when more of those deaths would have occurred in the hospital.

The 2017-2018 flu season was pretty bad and the 2018-2019 wasn’t abnormally mild. So even without Covid, a slow influenza year wouldn’t be unexpected. Less severe years often follow bad years.

And yes, of course Covid mitigations affect influenza infection rates as well. Especially when schools are closed. With open schools that’s probably debatable. :)

Add all the above up, and the numbers reported by CDC for 2019-2020 flu season aren’t unreasonable. Yes, I believe Covid has skewed them down below reality. But you aren’t being misled about the flu any more than usual (but that’s a whole different can of worms) this year.

If course this just pertains to the US. I don’t have any idea how the rest of the world handled all this.

The other consideration is that if we look at the figures for 2019 and 2020 the flu deaths were mainly in the period Dec to April. Hence we can't really say that flu deaths have "disappeared" because covid hasn't been around long enough to cover two yearly seasons - flu deaths span the end of one year into the beginning of the next. The mitigation carried out against covid will however reduce incidence of flu

Yes, good point. Plus what we have now aren’t final numbers even for the 2019-2020 season. I think they still update that season quite a bit going forward.
