There are currently thousands of violent criminals that are incarcerated. They are not killing injuring the peaceful citizens of the public now. How many lives were saved just today because they are in prison?
Clearly we need to incarcerate more violent killers in place of the less violent inmates.

I don’t recall your details for your mandantory training program. Please educate us on your program ideas.

In a nation of over 350 million, there are about 450 gun deaths a year from accidents.
This is the heart of what your proposal addresses.

How is mandantory training enforced for existing owners?

How are they caught and what would be the penalty? Most of the 320 MILLION guns never leave the home.

What Does the curriculum consist of, and are they govt employed instructors? Or private?

Private instruction standard prices are about $200 for a four hour course. There aren’t enough instructors to qualify all the millions of people in a timely fashion because currently most instructors that I know across the country have waiting lists.

    So......

Who oversees the trainers to make sure they are following the prescribed curriculum?

How many years do you think it will take for everyone to get instruction?

Does a family of four all have to get instruction even if there is just one gun in the home? That would be quite costly. What if the family doesn’t have the money for such an expense. Will we prosecute the family?

In addition to instructor fees, there are range fees as well, you don’t expect ranges to give up the revenue they would otherwise be making do you?

What about rural gun owners? What if there are no instruction facilities anywhere near them?

Is there mandantory re certification every certain number of years? It’s not a requirement for driver training.

Out of the 450 accidental gun deaths a year, how many estimated lives do you think you mandantory training program will save, and how do you arrive at that number?

I have have many other questions, This is not a simple task. It’s actaully monumental given the number of gun owners and their ratio to instructors and facilities.

vegas-you showed up on this board and started spewing demands that honest gun owners submit to all sorts of stupid things so you could pretend you were doing something about crime. Its been a standard ploy of Democrats since the mid 60s to pretend harassment of honest gun owners will actually do something about crime, when in reality, the real goal is to keep the criminals and their fan club happy while harassing conservative gun owners.

your silly schemes are long in BS and almost non-existent in logic or reality based evidence. when people object to your plots to harass them with stupid legislation, you pretend your silly proposals gain merit because the critics don't spend 140 posts a day posting LOL, "Its just a form" or "it saves lives" in support of "their plans.

we don't have to have a "plan" to note yours is nonsensical. You don't gain validity for your attempts to harass us by ignoring what others have said. crime is going down and as one segment of society buys more nd more guns, their rates of violent crime remains low and is getting lower. why should those of us in that segment of society have to have a "plan" when things are working well now?

I know you don't have a plan to reduce gun deaths. Its because you don't want to reduce gun deaths. You do not care about gun deaths in the slightest. It never causes you to lose one wink of sleep. We get it. You do not care. Loud and clear

why would I not want to reduce gun deaths ? gun deaths serve only the purposes of people like you who use gun deaths as support for your schemes to restrict our rights

and I call BS on your insinuation you lose sleep over gun deaths. we've seen too many LOLs from you for you to convincingly claim you are upset about gun deaths. What causes you to lose sleep is NRA voting power keeping your beloved Hillary out of office

I'd love to see some of those go away. in some cases, suicide is a valid option.

    No, he does not.

    And They always ignore my following question;

How many suicides have they responded to in some official capacity ?

How many relatives and friends have they lost to suicide ?

How many lost to long term painful debilitating terminal illnesses ?

I have seen and held vigil for many family members and freinds and others in worse circumstances.

Once, I was transporting a young lady from Hospital to a long term Hospice facilty, terminal Cancer patient with most of her face covered with a gauze bandage.

She began to spasm and show signs of respitory and neurological distress, so I requested authorization to proceed code 3, lights and
    Siren,
I had to use a payphone, radio out of range and no cell phone in those days.

Then it got worse, the patient woke up and started screaming and tearing off her bandages, it was then I was horrified to notice, most of her face had been surgically removed....

I managed to calm her somehow and ran Oxygen as well as I could.

At Facilty, I saw a Catholic Priest and called him over as she was Catholic, he took a look at her face or lack of it and covered his mouth with his hand, retching, and ran off.

I got her admitted to her assigned room,
This made me re-think much of my views on suicide.
