    1465 dead today.

Texas, Florida and California are now the epicentres of the pandemic.

Coronavirus Worldometer has revised its prediction for the number of victims as of 1 November: 230,000 dead.

30,000 lives could be saved if the wearing of masks became mandatory in public places and shops.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump is worried about imaginary mail-in vote fraud...

    Just like the flu, right?

The recent increase in cases is caused by increased testing, right?

The daily deaths are dropping, despite the increase in cases, right?

Have Trump fans been right on anything since the start of this pandemic? MAGA!

    Reality is a bitch.

This pandemic had to come at a time when the most inept President is in Washington.

Did the American people deserve this?

As opposed to September eleventh occurring under the watch of George Bush, because the intelligence agencies did absolutely nothing? Or hurricane Katrina? Or the BP oil spill under Barack Obama?

Maybe we did. Americans elected Trump, so perhaps we get the government we deserve. The question now is, do we have the intelligence and the political will to stop this damage in the election? Every state should currently be testing the efficacy of their mail-in ballot process, for starters.

Your list of whataboutisms have no relevance to our current situation. All past presidents have screwed up from time to time, but this one is completely incompetent every day.

    According to that same meter....

2,380,561 have recovered in the US 5% of the total population has died, while 94% of the total population has recovered. No, we do not need masks to be mandatory, because masks in themselves don’t save lives.

And I’m sure by November, the recovery number will be much higher, but we will still be dwelling on the deaths.

A increase in testing will result in an increase in cases. But cases in of themselves are not bad, especially when 94% of the population is recovering.

You still don't know that a case declared infected today might die in three weeks...

Ever heard of the concept of lag period?

The lag period from infection to death can be as much as 4 weeks.

The lag period from a young person becoming infected, passing it on to an older household member, and then the older person dying can be as much as 6 weeks.

Unfortunately, the deaths will follow the infections. However, the ones who tow the Trump party line don't care.

The misleading fact to try to claim that the sharp increase of new cases that ignore that the resulting deaths weeks or a month in the future as they die.

Not to mention as more and more hospitals are getting overwhelmed by the increases.

Of course, many of the overwhelmed hospitals meaning hospitals aren't even allowing new sick COVID (or any other illness or accident) to enter, yet these deaths won't be considered COVID deaths, so Republicans and Trump look better and better!

    Republicans MAGA!

And we have no idea long long the immunity will last or if a second infection will be worst than the first

Meanwhile almost no one is dying from cancer, COPD or motorcycle crashes. They were all cured by 'dying from Cvirus'!

Those are the real heros. Somehow, Trump never mentions their sacrifice. He probably prefers nurses that don't die on the job, just like he prefers soldiers who are not caught by the enemy.
